Rainy Monday everyone!!!

Yes. It's raining hard in our place right now as of writing. Maybe there's a typhoon again for they said there's a typhoon that's hits near our province. I'm not sure because we don't have television yet for still we don't have electricity after 3 months of super typhoon Odette. But, maybe there's really a typhoon or maybe low pressure because the rain poured so hard as of the moment. Good thing we don't have a duty at school today.

Well, speaking of duty. Today which is Monday is actually a rest day for all of the employees in the university I worked at. They called today as our wellness day. We are given the privilege to rest for a whole day in response to all the negativities, shocked and calamities that was experienced by all of us. It is the day given to us, to at least enjoy the day without any work in mind and just choose to rest, reflect and pampers self in any manner we like to do.

Last week, the school celebrated the beauty and wellness summit or the health is wealth summit. We did a program for a whole day last Tuesday which was also being in lined with the celebration of women's day and the employee's day celebration. The program which was spearheaded by the school specially the organization called FAST focused on the beauty an wellness. The said program last Tuesday last week at school started with a so-called "Juana' Banjak" which all employees are encouraged to joined the early biking. It was followed by the "Juana' Dance" which was the zumba for all employees or they called it the "Zumbathon".

After such activities, the program proper started at our school's theater.

We all employees are required to halt on all our works and it was a compulsory to all of us to attend. So, of course we all attended the said program.

The program as I've said focused on beauty and wellness therefore, there were 5 types of talks from different speaker and all their talks were all about beauty, health and wellness. It was because for us to be aware on how relevant to us is beauty, health and wellness and not just to all women employees but also to men.

The said activity were letting us be aware as well that health is not just of our physical appearance but it dwells to all aspects of our well being. So, not just in physical aspects but also in our emotional, social and spiritual dwellings in life. That we shouldn't be complacent on things that we thought are still healthy for us but rather we should be mindful on things that made ruined our life and that includes everything. Everything on how we dealt with our daily survivals.

In our field of work, stressors were here and there and always just surrounded us. That is why, the said program somehow gave us the time to pamper ourselves and to have relaxation from all the hectic schedules and all the deadlines needed to meet. It was such a great day for us all to somehow reflects on different things and realized on such things that brought us negativities and made out heath at risks. All the talks given be different speakers really enlightened us in a way that we somehow realized the importance of health and wellness because from some point because of the nature of our work we tend to somehow neglects things that already made our health at risks. We overdosed ourselves with work without minding that it also eventually making our health into risks.

The program somehow woke us up that it's really not good for us if we just neglects those things that made our health suffer. It's not good that we let ourselves be drowned by stressed. It's not good that we eat everything we wanted without any limitations. It's not good that we don't exert effort and have disciplined on exercising ourselves to be physically fit. All aspects must be given importance and not just given importance on physical, on just for our emotional aspects, not just on our social relationships and not just in our spiritual being. But, for us to be healthy and felt the wellness in life then all aspects must be given importance. All must be given efforts. All must be given time.

Then, for sure life that engaged through healthy lifestyle and wellness is truly and definitely a happy life.

That was actually what I've learned from all the talks on the said program health is wealth summit.

Aside, from the awareness talks. The afternoon engagements were already the pampering time. We all employees are given free pampering moments. The said pampering moments were as well in accordance to what our program is all about. We are given free manicure, pedicure, foot reflexology, all types of body massage like half body and whole body massage, ventossa massage, foot spa and many more. I just had the foot reflexology that time and I must say it was really a relaxing moment not just for me but to all of us employees.

Therefore, such moments like that really is in need and timely knowing that we are been to such tragic moments of life for we experienced that hardship of this pandemic and also the shocked moments when super typhoon Odette also hits our province which was wrecked everything mostly our shelters.

Lastly, I'll end this article with one of my favorite quote of Mahatma Gandhi.

Ang saya namn may pa free spa... Sana mgawa ko rin yan haha.. . Pero this is true. We really need a break from all stressors.. And don't wait until our health suffers... It should be on top of our priorities

Yeah sis, it should be. Pero ewan ko somehow in some way, parang we just or I just disregards matters regarding my health especially if I still can endure it. But yun nga, in the end you will just get shocked that you already had a severe illness because we are just neglecting it over and over from the very beginning.

For me it's not good to disregard our health cause that is our main wealth. If we are unhealthy we can't even sustain even a single day. We must foster our health through with our daily healthy habits.
