The Top Christmas Installations I Visited So Far
| 28th Dec 22| No. 362 |
You probably have seen me visiting different Christmas theme displays here in Hong Kong. The installations of different Christmas displays started on the 1st week of November and will end on the 2nd day of January. There is still a lot that I haven't visited yet since my only off is during the weekend.
In today's blog, I'll show you the top Christmas installations I visited.
1. Winterfest at Kowloon Art Park
This is located at West Kowloon Cultural District Art Park. There is a 20-meter tall giant Christmas tree with lights that synchronize with the Christmas music. It is surrounded by small Christmas trees and other decorations such as big Christmas balls, a few reindeer glowing in the dark because they are covered with lights, big gift boxes, and others.
2. Mrs. Claus Bakery at Landmark Central
There are a lot of cutesy displays at Mrs. Claus's huge bakery in Landmark Central. The bakery looks made from bread and all her staff and friends are around. There are gingerbreads too, a giant polar bear, and a mascot of Mrs. Claus would sometimes appear when you don't expect to. Kids truly love this place.
3. Unicorn Christmas at Harbor City
Stunning and elegant, were the first words I uttered when I saw this place. 18 unicorn merry-go-rounds are sitting in the place that kids were truly enjoying. I heard just recently that at past 8 in the evening, it will rain with snow in this place. And that's the main thing I missed when I visited this place.
4. Santa Claus Village at IFC
This Santa village is a replica of the real Santa Claus village in Arctic Finland. There are a few spots to visit here, including the Santa Clause office, the main post office where kids could send letters to Santa in Finland, the elf's workshop place, and a small Mrs. Claus bakery too.
5. Starlight Garden at New Town Plaza
It looks like a magical garden, isn't it? There is a tunnel that is covered with beautiful Christmas lights, and glowing flowers all over the place. At the end of it is an alpaca farm with a cornfield full of lights. It was such a magical and awesome experience staying for a short time in this place.
6. 1881 Heritage Tsim Sha Tsui
One of the most popular Victorian Era-inspired buildings in Hong Kong is the 1881 Heritage located also in Tsim Sha Tsui. It is now transformed into a Christmas village and there are a few cute photo booths around the giant Christmas tree. Aside from Christmas displays, the building itself and the garden on top are other attractions.
7. Hearty Christmas at Festival Walk
The hearty Christmas tree at Festival Walk is 70 feet tall which is the tallest indoor Christmas tree in Hong Kong this year. This symbolizes the real meaning of Christmas - it's not just about gifts, but especially about love giving, peace, and joy.
8. Christmas Tree House at the Elements
A tall Christmas tree house at the center of the Elements event space is now the center of attraction in the place. It may be simple, yet cute, and like a house of cute creatures in fantasy land.
I forgot to include this in the video.
9. Christmas on parade at the Pacific
Santa Squad is having a parade at Pacific Place. There is a giant bear singing on top of Santa's Hall, and some reindeer playing the drum and a horn at both corners. Cute, aren't they? You might want to sing with them once you visited Pacific Place.
So these are just some of the themed Christmas displays around Hong Kong that I visited recently. Some would last until the 2nd day of the new year. I wish to visit another one this weekend. If, I won't be lazy, lol.
I hope you like them.
Thanks for stopping by.
