Landscape photography is all about light, color and composition. For sure most landscape photographers will favor sunrise or sunset as their favourite times of day.
Same with other landscapes photographers, my favorite time is sunrise and sunset too.
Who can resist the high drama that often accompanies these times of day? One of natureโs great shows is on colourful sunrise or sunset. The light is special and even the most mundane subjects look magnificent.
One of my favorite past time hobby is to watch the transformation of clouds and the sky when dawn is approaching. Yesterday, I was able to capture a mountains of clouds while waiting for the sunset. Our kitchen's window really have a great view if you want to capture sunset.
This was taken at around 4:3 pm, I was amazed by the formation of clouds. You see those mountains of clouds? They were like cotton candies- seems so soft and fluffy. I haven't seen this kind before, so yesterday I didn't missed the opportunity to capture this one. But I know, if this kind of clouds appear on the sky, it will gonna have a heavy rain later, and I was right, last night it rained.
The next one is fascinating.
This was taken at around 7pm. I thought there's a whirlpool of clouds formed on the sky. Can you see that round shape with the sunset color above the huge clouds? (upper left corner of the pic) I don't know what it was, but it looks like a whirlpool. That was fascinating - the color, the clouds, everything was perfect for sunset photography.
I also want to show you this one taken the other night.
Sometimes the night view is better - with different lights from the buildings and colorful sky due to sunset. It looks so warm and peaceful.
Itโs worth remembering the moment and appreciating the beauty that nature is capable of displaying.
