Recipe for okro stew

Feeling hungry and want to try something new, special and amazing? Then today is your lucky day because I'll be giving the receipe for a very delicious stew you'll love to try and won't regret doing so. Without much hesitation let's start.πŸ˜‹πŸ˜‹

Ingredients:

Note: Make sure that all ingredients have been properly washed.

β€’ 4 large onionsπŸ§…

β€’ 4 medium tomatoes πŸ…

β€’ 3 cloves of garlic

β€’ 1 Ginger

β€’ Chili powder

β€’ 2 fillets smoked mackerel

β€’ 25 okro pods

β€’ Palm oil

β€’ Stewing beef

β€’ 3 large garden egg (Optional)

β€’ Water

β€’ Salt and chicken or shrimp seasoning to taste

Procedure:

~ Cut beef into sizable chunks into a saucepan.

~ Chop one large onion and add to beef in the saucepan.

~ Sprinkle very little salt on it, add water and braise till stewing beef becomes tender. (Note: Turn off heat under beef immediately it becomes tender)

~ Whiles beef is still cooking, pour 4 tablespoons of palm oil into a different saucepan.

~ Chop two out of the three remaining large onions and add to palm oil in saucepan. Put the saucepan on a stove and heat plam oil.

~ Whiles heating palm oil, stir onions occasionally until they begin to caramelize.

~ Chop ginger, garlicπŸ§„, tomatoes and the last remaining onion and blend.

~ Pour mixture into the saucepan with caramelized onions and allow it to cook and thicken.

~ Now, cut okro pods into circle shape and garden eggs into cube form.

~ Add your preferred amount of water to it in a different saucepan. (Make sure not too add else it won't be slimmy) and put on heat to boil and cook.

~ Whiles okro is also cooking, break smoke mackerel into chunks and add to stew. Also add desired amount of powdered chili. After this, allow to simmer for 7minutes to infuse flavor very well.

~ Add cooked beef along with its stock to stew and stir. Allow to simmer for another 7minutes.

~ Check if okra and garden eggs have been well cooked and turn off heat under it whiles stew is still simmering on heat.

~ Now add okra and garden eggs to stew and stir to incorporate into stew.

~ Taste and add chicken or shrimp seasoning and salt if required.

I love these lady fingers,I could eat it alone even if it was only boiled with kalamansi,fish saoce as a dip.i'll try making this one even if i'll have to omit the beef😊 coz beef is scarcely available in our area.they have schedule for beef at the wet market

Lol. It's not exactly different, I just don't use ALL that onions. Lol. I don't like onion and rather than boil the okra I just add it to the stew. I don't use garden egg or ginger. That's all
