What's the Key in Receiving God's Abundance?
What's the Key in Receiving God's Abundance? ***"****And God is able to bless you abundantly, so that in all things at all times, having all that you need, you will abound in every good work."* 2 Corinthians 9:8 NIV This Is the Bible Verse that I am sharing today.
Hi. This is John once again and this is the third installment of my Sunday Reflection series. And the focus for this Sunday is abundance.
**Disclaimer** First, a little disclaimer. I am not a pastor, nor a religious leader. I am just an ordinary person who loves to study the Word of God. What I will share with you is based on my understanding and reflection. I will divide this verse into two parts. What can God do? "*And God is able to bless you abundantly…"* Clearly, God can bless us abundantly. And he can do so anytime right? But why did the author, St. Paul, use the words 'is able'? (Or at least when translated into English.) Why didn't he say "God **will bless you"** instead? Surely, God, the creator of the universe, can bless us abundantly with a snap of His fingers… and He doesn't even need the Infinity Gauntlet with the Infinity Stones.
*(I wanted to put an image if Thanos here, but I can't find one in Unsplash, so I settled for this Baby Groot)* But no, God doesn't work that way. He is not a genie 🧞 that will instantly grant our wishes. St. Paul knows that. And he states that in the second half of the sentence. The Purpose " *so that in all things at all times, having all that you need, you will abound in every good work*" God blesses us with a purpose. And the purpose is not just to give us everything that we need. If you take a look deeper in that phase, God gives us all that we **need** so that we don't have to worry about them anymore so we can **focus** on doing **every good work**. But what is that good work? Generosity. Here is the answer and key in receiving abundance. "*Each of you should give what you have decided in your heart to give, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver."* 2 Corinthians 9:7 NIV Yes, God loves a cheerful giver. And God blesses those who are generous. And we are blessed so we become blessings to others. And I supposed you have realized that the generous tippers here are also those who has been blessed abundantly. Have a blessed Sunday. **Thanks** For Reading

Good evening, kuya. I am not a religious person either, but in the Bible, Jesus mentioned - "free gift of God” of "living water". Water bubbling up to impart everlasting life.
True. But as the "preacher in blue jeans" said, we are swimming in an ocean of blessings... But a lot of people don't know it, or not doing anything to receive them.
Pretty much, kuya.
God loves a cheerful giver truly. The more we give, the more we receive because the hand of the giver is always on top. Thanks for the timely message passed.
You're welcome
I really love what you have shared with us here. Sincerely, it is good to give from our heart. When we do so, God is able to give in return even in many folds what we have given out to others. When we give, we receive back from God.
Amen to that. And thanks
Spot on. In addition, Romans 8:28 " All things work together for good to them that love God..." Clearly, we have to love God and honor Him in our life to receive His blessings. ❤️
Amen to that. And thanks
thanks for sharing your insight. indeed God is not a genie.. He gives our needs..
He covers the needs so you can also bless.. blessed to bless indeed! Love this!
Naalala ko yung 'Giving' na article ko. I know someone also commented about God loving a cheerful giver. Naalala ko si Kuya Vin0 (sa noise.cash) nung nagdisclaimer ka. Hehe. Alam ko inaasar siyang Pastor. But going back, there is really some joy when we can give to people. More so if the receiver is so happy with what they have received. 😊
