How Noise Opened The Doors to Crypto Blogging For Me
October 28, 2022 Post Number 233
Last week I gave my last free tip (FT) to a Syrian friend in Noise-Cash. If I remember it right, the FT refill started to go slow at least two months ago. If I remember it right, it was two or three weeks ago that the FT finally stopped coming. And it seems that some members stopped receiving FTs longer than that.
Is Noise-cash finally folding?
Greetings my dear readers and friends. There are several articles posted about noise-cash closing. Is it really closing after only 18 months (more or less)? Maybe so. However, it's closing to pave the way to its newer and better version, Noise-App.
The way I see it. The Noise platform is just undergoing a metamorphosis. You know, just like a caterpillar going into a cocoon, it can change into a beautiful butterfly.
Anyway, this article is not about noise.cash closing. It's about my journey in crypto blogging that was opened by the noise-cash and read-cash platforms.
Looking Back
Honestly speaking, noise-cash is not the first crypto blogging platform that I have joined. Way back in 2017. I joined Steemit. However, I got discouraged by its complicated system. Plus I wondered how an unfocused picture earned more than $100 worth of tips while my HD photo taken using a DSLR got only less than $5.
In the end, I stopped logging into Steemit and focused my time on another blogging platform that pays in fiat. That was Bitlanders. That's where I first came to know @momentswithmatti, @lucystephanie, and other writers who came on board in read-cash.
Read-Cash and Noise-Cash
I first joined Read-Cash in December 2020. But I was not active. I just come to read some of the articles at that time. The time in January, or was it February I joined Noise-cash. What got my attention is, noise-cash is a micro-blogging platform like Twitter, but without the character limit. Plus, I started earning about $1-$3 a day in just a matter of days. Well, maybe it was about a couple of weeks.
I decided to write 'A Newbie's Guide To Noise' in read-cash. It was the first and only article that received a $5 tip from Mr. Demesel himself. At the time, I had no idea who he is, but I was grateful. And that $5 tip encouraged me to write more often.
Although I wasn't able to write every day, my earnings from noise-cash and read-cash were more than helpful. To think, it was at the height of the pandemic and I had no regular job, and my freelancing gigs were put on hold.
From both platforms, I learned about Publish0x and Hive. I tried Publish0x. However, I decided to focus on noise-cash and read-cash. I also joined Hive. But I find it as complicated as Steemit. Later I learned that Hive is a spinoff or a hard fork of Steemit. Probably that's the reason why they are similar.
I also learned about Torum and Appics. Though I am not active on these platforms, I do check in from time to time.
Joining Hive Again.
On July 20, 2022, I decided to try Hive again. It took me several tries before I was able to create an account successfully. I joined via Ecency. Although the markdown editor is not so encouraging, I remembered a text editor in Android that can create a markdown text format. I will share that with you next time.
I am now juggling my time between read-cash. Hive and the newer Noise-App.
In Closing
Though my earnings in noise-cash dropped drastically even before the crash, there are so many things that I am grateful for that I found that platform. It was the door that lead me to various crypto blogging platforms.
It's sad to think that it is inevitable that it will soon shut down. However, I'd like to think that its "death" will bring life to its upgraded and much better version of Noise.App.
If you are already in that app, you can find me there through this link: http://noise.app/jloberiza
If you have not joined the noise.app yet here is my invite link (limited time and number): https://noise.app/invite/gixqxm8l
Oh, by the way, you can download the app version from the playstore.
See you there.
Thanks for Reading.

Yeah, they shoulda just transferred all data to noise app then removed or deleted noise cash or something. Noise cash is just useless noe imho.
But hey I'm not a programmer and am certainly just joining such sites created by other people.
What is FT btw? Free tip?
