A person attracts us, even if we don't know very well why. They are charismatic, and above all we want to know more about them. They are interesting people, and these are the traits that characterize them, in case we plan to be interesting too. Some people have the gift of attracting the attention of others. We don't have to spend a lot of time with them for them to start to interest us; what we know about them makes us want to know more. Keeping our distance, it's like that series or that book that catches us, sometimes without really knowing why. One of the aspects that makes a person interesting is the passion with which he assumes what he does. That mental and emotional commitment to a job, a cause or a purpose is a sign that there is a very rich and vital inner world.
In fact, passion for what you do is also a sign of self-awareness and consistency. Mind, emotions and actions coincide. Therefore, there is a solid identity and this generates a force of attraction on others. Another of those traits that attract attention in a person is their openness to novelty. We interpret this attitude as self-confidence. It also implies an essential trust in the world and in reality. The most common is that people resist changes or see with some apprehension what they do not know. Therefore, the tendency to try new things is one of the aspects that make a person interesting. Not being afraid to show your own fears, weaknesses or tastes that deviate from the majority is a message that speaks of autonomy.
In that sense, this type of trait is only present in people who know each other very well and who respect each other. This independence of criteria and self-assessment arouse the interest of other people. It is an attitude of reaffirmation of one's own self and empowerment in front of the world. This is not only attractive, but it is usually a factor that increases the confidence of others in this type of person. Based on the above traits, it might seem that several of the things that make a person interesting are related to self-centeredness. Nothing more wrong. There is a great distance between asserting one's self and obsessively self-exalting oneself. On the contrary, these people are usually very empathetic.
Along the same lines, it is very common for them to have a great ability to listen and understand others. This also generates a great force of attraction, since it is a virtue that makes almost everyone feel comfortable. Another aspect that makes a person interesting is openness to new knowledge and ways of seeing the world. This usually leads them to be very well informed about various topics. They have an insatiable curiosity and that is why it is common for them to know about many things. They are eternal seekers of answers. They are not satisfied with seeing the world, but also want to understand it. This leads to very often becoming wise people, with a broad and deep vision of reality.
In conclusion, this is one of the distinguishing features of interesting people. They are themselves, they have a genuine attitude and they do not need the approval of others to be who they are. That authenticity gives them a special charm that makes them special. The aspects that make a person interesting can be summarized by saying that they have to do with the acceptance and appreciation of themselves. This ends up being translated as empathy towards others and as autonomy in the face of life. Interesting people are the ones you find searching through their trunk for souvenirs to show you. They are the ones that give you knowledge, experiences and good feelings. Interesting people, unlike interested people, do not demand, they offer.
Have you considered an interesting person?
