BCH - To the MOON
March 23, 2022. No. 194
I came across a link to a piece of news that is the joy of the day: “Member of St. Maarten’s Parliament Plans to Have His Entire Salary Paid in Bitcoin Cash”, thanks to @Pantera for the link.
There's even a video on youtube on Roger Ver channel, which @Jane gave me and it's actually the video version of the news in general.
“On Saturday, the leader of the United People’s Party and member of St. Maarten’s Parliament, Rolando Brison, announced that he’s become the first elected official to request his entire salary paid in bitcoin cash. Brison believes St. Maarten can be the “Crypto Capital of the Caribbean,” as long as his country continues to embrace blockchain technology and cryptocurrency solutions.”
Simply reading this is the best thing that can happen to you today.
Brison, who describes in the video that he does not know much about blockchain and cryptocurrencies, but that he is being well advised, signs a contract where he agrees to receive all his salary in BCH to one address.
They even comment that one of the phrases they hear the most when they explain and carry out the procedures in front of other users is: “Just like that?”
Despite the fact that I have been in crypto for a few years now, although I still consider myself a novice, I do not imagine how someone who is just starting out can receive their full salary in a cryptocurrency. The volatility of it would mean that on the same first day, you could go from happy to sad multiple times. Not the first day, the first week, or the first month. Imagine cashing out $2,000 USD and converting it to BCH immediately. The next day you wake up and the BCH is down -10%, how would you feel knowing that now that $2,000 USD became $1,800 USD. Not many are ready for this. I'm not yet.
I am not questioning those who, if they prefer to do it, and are fully convinced that this is the future. So am I and I recognize that in the long term, years from now, there is a huge possibility that BCH and other cryptocurrencies could be worth a lot of money too, but volatility is always present.
“Today I become to first Elected official in the world to have his entire salary paid in #Bitcoincash, as our country moves more and more to making use of cryptocurrency and blockchain. Thanks @rogerkver for the guidance in making St Maarten the Crypto Capital of the Caribbean!” @MPBrison
It is evident that this is one of the main causes, if not the most, that the BCH has been following its own path a few days ago since its graph is almost completely different from that of BTC.
It's finally happening. A 13% increase today has been completely insane.
We're going to the moon!
It’s great to see BCH price going in upward direction 😍
