What is flood:

Flood is a natural calamity. It is an annual affair in Bangladesh. Bangladesh suffers from flood almost every year . Due to excessive rainfall or any other cause when rivers and canals overflow their banks and make a huge loss to crops and property,it’s called flood.

The recently vulnerable situation of flood affected area:

About 50 villages in Satkhira district have been flooded as seawater has entered the localities through breaking embankments.

Thousands of villagers have been marooned while many houses have been damaged and many shrimp farms and crops lands have remained inundated.

At least 21 villages of Pratapnagar union and all villages of Sreeula union in Ashashuni upazila have also been flooded and as result thousands of people of the villages have been marooned.

Flood causes a huge loss to our country every year so we must control flood at any cost.
