Crows are large bird that has shiny black feathers, long legs and a fan-shape tail with a heavy straight bill. They also known for their loud sounds and intelligence. In America, crows usually sleep in high big trees or abandoned building with 15-60 feet high off the ground. American crows usually live for only 7-8 years lifespan. They usually eat fruits, seeds, insects, reptiles, amphibian, bird eggs, mammals, mollusk, fish, carrion and sometimes human foods.

Does Crows eat Human body?

Like in many scene in some of our favorite horror movies we've watched, does Crows really eats human bodies? Or a human dead body?

Well, crows is omnivorous - means they eat about anything animals or vegetables. There's no cases that can give a valid evidence that the crows really eats human. But they can seek for revange for their family members who abuse by humans. They attack a person who hurt their family member and give them a warning to stay away to them.

In our country, adult always curse a crows when they hear the crow cawing. They say that if there's a crow near and they make a loud sounds in top of your house there's someone who's in danger or it is a sign of his/her near death and to prevent that to happen they curse or say bad words to the crows. They says that if they do that there's no danger will happen because the crows fly away with they bad luck.

Other people says that if you hear one crow cawing is believed to mean bad luck and destruction is near. Two crows cawing is believed to mean good luck, harmony, and good news. Three crows cawing means you will be blessed with good health. Four crows cawing means that you will experience abundance, good fortune, and prosperity soon. Five crows cawing is an omen for poor health and illness to come to pass. And a large group of crows cawing is believed that death will come to pass.

Dreaming about crows?

Do you know the meaning of crow in your dreams ? They say that when you dreaming about the crows this means fears, illness, negative emotions, misfortune, anxiety, stress and bad news. But when you dreaming about a flying crow it means a good luck of a good sign that there's something good is about to happen to the person who's dreaming.

There's so many beliefs about this black bird. Some people says they are bad luck and they can eat you but think of it how can a little bird can eat a human? Like to the horror movies we've love to watch. Maybe when that human is already dead and crows think that they are just an animal. But don't just easily believe nor ignore this kind of beliefs. Believe it or not it usually happens to other people.

Another good post about a fascinating topic. I wrote this article about crows, https://read.cash/@Mictorrani/crows-ravens-tengu-d4fffba1 - but the perspective is different.. It is also part of a series on Japanese culture, so the focus is different as well.
