Daniel:6:10-24.

The book of Daniel showcased Daniel and some other Hebrews boys that were taken as captives from Judah during the reign of Jehoiakim by Nebuchadnezzar the king of Babylon. This was during the seventy year captivity prophesied by Jeremiah Jer. 25:11.

The chosen

Daniel was one of the young men chosen to serve in the king's palace in Babylon. Daniel was a prince in Judah who was taken as slave, he that was being served became a servant in another land Dan.1:1-7.

He was a talented and knowledgeable child. He had no blemish, was well favoured, skillful in all

wisdom, cunning in knowledge, had understanding of science and one who was teachable.

Daniel had an understanding of who and whose he was, he and his friends remained loyal to the one true and living God, they purposed in their hearts not to defile themselves with the happenings in their new environment Dan 1:8. They carried the presence of God with them even in their enslavement.

King Nebuchadnezzar respected Daniel because of what he had benefitted from him due to the manifestation of the God of Daniel in Dan.2 and 3.

Daniel was a young man who believed so much in prayer as he was always observing his prayer times and this was what his enemies used against him. He never forgot his God. When you are one that the devil knows as a righteous and faithful child of God, he will always look for a way to bring you down and frustrate you so that you can deny your God. Dan. 6:5. Daniel went through the test of the devil but he refused to yield to him not minding the consequences. He was not afraid of the punishment to be given him which was death in the den of lions; but the king who himself signed his death warrant was also the same person fasting and praying all through the night for him Dan. 6:18 because the ways of Daniel was pleasing to God Pro.16:7. Is your own way pleasing to God?

King Darius saw the living God in manifestation, how could it be possible for a man to be thrown inside a pit with lions and for him to come out alive? He realized that this could only be done by the living God.

The living God proves Himself in the life of Daniel because everyone and God Himself knew him to be in the right standing with God, he was not an hypocrite. His life and totality manifested his relationship with this living God. Dan.6:20; the king called him servant of the living God whom he served continually. Can anyone say the same thing about you?

Daniel himself knew he was doing what God had sent him to do v. 21-22.

The living God fought the enemies of Daniel because his life was pleasing to Him, he was not hurt because he believed in the living God v. 23. Can God fight for you?

The king was glad for Daniel because there was no guilt found in him. Are people glad for your life seeing your relationship with the living God?

The deliverance of Daniel led the king to make a decree that the whole nation should worship and serve the living God of Daniel. Are people coming to serve the living God through you?

Prayer:

* God, my mind is made up to serve you till the end, help me o God.

* Lord, give me the power of prayer, put on me the garment of prayer.

* Lord, I want to live right and have a better relationship with you, uphold me in you.

* Lord, you fought for Daniel, please fight for me.

I subscribed. Yes, Daniel was blessed of God. He knew it was better to obey God rather than man. We need to follow his example.
