Justice Prevails

R.I.P. to Johnny, a promising RnB music artist who was brutally murdered on this day last year on September 24th at a music concert.

The incident, which took place at the event center of Tingodiv, left 18 people dead and 32 others injured.

People were just there to enjoy the concert and support Johnny. They just came out to support him and that was it," a witness said at the time of the incident. "We weren't there as spectators, we were there as fans."

The attack was carried out by members of a rival gang, which attended a different concert on the same night. The armed men fired shots at the crowd and rushed the stage where the musician and his team were performing.

Shortly after, the men went backstage and kidnapped one member of Johnny's crew along with several other artists from other music groups who had performed at the same event but followed different promoters. The armed men beat and tortured the artists until they gave in to their orders and signed over their rights to their music records.

Another source said No one was seen and it is thought that all the attackers were from the same group. They were armed with machetes, bottles, stones and other things. Other people were singing on stage. People, including Johnny and his crew, were singing and dancing together until the attackers came in with machetes and attacked the crew.

What really went down that day, only God knows, because we hear different stories from different witnesses daily.

This incident caused an outrage. God so good the attackers were apprehended a week after the incident.

Since then proceedings were underway. Over 400 witnesses were called by the prosecution which included other RnB artists who had fallen victims to the same armed men. Few weeks ago which is almost a year the incident happened, the Armed men were finally put to Justice, they were sentenced to death.

What I'm happy about is that Johnny's murderers didn't go unpunished.
