As you read this history, the French province had the mindset of trading and due to that, the war was made to take place. There were series of events that took place. In this beginning of the chapter, I will be telling you more about it. I hope you will like it and please don't forget to suscribe too dearies 😍.

On the edge of the war.

As you read the start of this chapter, Britain's colonies were located along the Atlantic ocean, to the east of what is now Indiana. By the middle of the 1700s these 13 colonies had become successful and were filled with many people.

By the 1750s the British fur leaders began moving into areas where the French were trading. But most of the Indians in this area preferred to trade with French. The Indians believe that the French understood their way of life. The British did not live with Native Americans or try to learn their language.

Some Indians finally decided to trade with the British. They may have decided to do this because they had a preception that the British will offer them something better than the French. When the Indians began to trade with the British, the French were furious.

France and Britain had been enemies for some time. Throughout the whole 1700s, they fought numerous wars in Europe. Now the fur trade made them to fight northern America 😐😐😑. The French and the British colonists both claimed the land in what is now called 'Pennsylvania'.(I have been hearing this in horror movies.😂😂😂😂) anyways, Let's go to the main thing here...... So then they built a fort (French) to protect their trade.

the struggle of the fur trade between these countries brought about the war....

War begins....

In 1754, a young British colonist, George Washington, led an attack on the French army near what is now called the city of Pittsburgh. This battle marked the beginning of the war. The war lasted from 1754 to 1763. People died. Lives and properties were also lost. The British were able to force the French to leave the Wabash valley and there successful fur trade.

Finally, a peace treaty was signed "Treaty of Paris". In this treaty, the French gave up all the claims to North America. This means that now the north Americans are under the British rule.

Pontiac's rebellion..

But the fighting did not stop. As you read earlier, the native Americans like trading with the French. Many of them are upset with the British troops. "They were taking full control of the fur trade". They were also upset because of the misuse of their farmlands.

An Indian named Pontiac decided to fight the British.

He gathered all the groups of native Americans and spoke to them. He told them that they must fight together to make the British learve their home. Pontiac's plan succeeded. Many Indians carried their war belts and headed down the rivers. A war belt is a way of communicating with other Indians as to come together to help them fight the war.

The Indians attacked the British in the spring of 1763. Pontiac's Rebellion had begun. When the Indians captured fort Miami and other prominent forts, The British were surprised. This is the map of the forts they has captured during a short time. This gave British some chills.

The rebellion ends..

Pontiac's plan failed when the British began to fight back and moreover, the Indians had to go back to their villages and families to hunt for food. "All my young men have buried the hatchet" says Pontiac. Without the support of France, the Indians had to give up the forts they had captured. The British once again took over. They forced the French to leave their homes. While some French are still in Vincennes, most French colonists left the area.

Today, there are not too many signs that the French ever lived there. Some remainders can be seen in Vincennes, In the cemetery at the old cathedral. You will see the names of French settlers.

Even though Indians lost the war, they were not forced to leave. They stayed in the area and headed with the British. They made one thing that made the Indians happy. They promised not to go across the Appalachian mountains. This promise was made in the proclamation of 1763 from what I know. It was announced to the public. They then lived well with the British and traded with them in peace. That's North America for you.

Thank you all for your attention to read this historic article. Thank you once again and I hope you will suscribe in for more.

Be inspired 😉😉😉.

Most of the wars that have been fought since the colonial era till date usually have an underlying economic motivation. We could thus dub the war in the post, the war of the furs.
