Algorand was launched in 2019. It is permissionless and open source which allows anyone to build onto its blockchain. Algorand was founded by Silvio Micali.
Algorand is not only fast, secure, and open source but it is also borderless. This means that it can easily evolve and grow. Their borderless economy allows anything of value to be traded between two or more parties, wherever they may be, without the friction of current financial networks.
Algorand is the first and only blockchain project to achieve decentralization, scalability, and security without compromises while being environmentally sustainable.
Algorand is open source which means anyone can build on the blockchain. Not only is it open source but it is the most environmentally friendly blockchain created so far.
Algorand is used by over 2000 global organizations.
How much is Algorand worth
At the time of writing Algorand is worth $0.2995. Algorands all-time high (ATH) was $3.1536. Algorand has over 28,787,692 addresses at the time of writing this article. Algorand can perform 6,000 TPS (transactions per second). This is extremely fast compared to Bitcoin which can only do 7 TPS and Ethereum which can only handle 20 TPS. Ethereum is supposed to be solving their TPS problem when later upgrades go into effect though. It is said that Ethereum will be able to reach 100,000 TPS after Sharding goes into effect.
Algorand is not the fastest but it has an amazing team and can be updated and upgraded. For example, Polygon can perform 7,200 TPS, Solano can perform 50,000 TPS, and Fantom (FTM) can reach 25,000 TPS. These projects might be faster but Algorand has a great team, an awesome community, and a growing amount of projects.
It is extremely important to do the necessary research when investing in different Crypto projects. From the information I have collected, Algorand has a bright future ahead of it.

Algorand is a well-known blockchain project. Algorand's gas fees are pretty much not there. The price per transaction is roughly 0.001 ALGO which is around $0.0004.

Conclusion
Algorand has been a go-to investment for me. Algorand's fees are pretty much not there and the speed is faster than lightning. Algorand is growing at an extremely fast rate and I could see it being in the top 10 coins in the next couple of years.
Algorand is still young and has a long way to go but from the information I have collected and the projects I have used, it surpasses the majority of other Crypto projects by a long shot.
I believe we are going to see a lot of Crypto projects fail in the not-so-distant future but Algorand is not one of those projects. The fact that it can evolve and grow as our economy and population evolves and grows says a lot. Not only that but it is one of the greenest projects out at the moment. Like I said before, it is a climate-friendly blockchain project and has actually gone carbon negative. Algorand is not the only climate-friendly blockchain but it is at the top of the list. Ethereum's upgrades have allowed it to become climate-friendly as well.
Algorand is by far one of my favorite Blockchain projects. It is up to you to do your own research and find out what projects you think are going to make it. I am just providing you with facts and information to help you along the way.
