Human Beauty Is Relative

“Beauty is in the eye of the beholder” indeed it is as beauty is relative, whatever beautiful in the eyes of others might not be beautiful in others as well. I think beauty was designed to be relative so everyone will be appreciated in our very own unique way. If we talk about physical beauty, everyone has different insights and how they define beauty. How do you define beauty? The beauty of a person does not tell all about physical appearance, ****not just a pretty face****. It's a very wide characteristic that has a lot of qualities to be checked before we can finally say it's really beautiful. I think we all have standards when it comes to our judgement of what beautifully attracts us the most but I think we somehow have similarities with the basis of what is beautiful to us or not. Physical appearance We usually get attracted to pretty and handsome faces (maybe), I think when we have crushed it's because of their physical appearance such as; ****Naturally born pretty and handsome attributes**** Having pretty and handsome faces is always an advantage to attract someone, but it doesn't end there. ****Body built**** This is relative as well depending on our preferences, some like skinny and some likes chubby. Some likes tall and some like regular heights. (Body shaming should not exist because we all have different preferences) ****Cleanliness**** Some people are not that pretty and handsome (although this is still relative) but because they are neat they still look attractive. Who likes untidy people anyway? ****Fashionable**** Some people are fashionable, the way they dressed up can attract people, making the world their runway. Talented Some people are less attractive but very talented. ****Sporty**** People who are good at sports are awesome because not all are sporty and excel in this field. ****Good at playing instruments**** Some people are very attracted when they start playing guitar, drum or any instrument. When you are a musician you can easily attract people, it's cool to be a musician. ****Artist**** Who doesn't like an artist? Those who can draw or paint well, those who are good at making tattoos and more. Being Smart Some people find smart people very attractive, the way they handle debate, Excell in the class and have flying colours of grades. Some admire smart ones even if they are less attractive in the eyes of others. Attitude and characteristics Some people find it attractive when a person is low-key, humble, gentle, caring, sweet and the likes. This is even the bottom line of liking someone, I mean the basis of depth if we like or chose to love someone is based on their attitudes and characteristics. We cannot just like or love someone who has a pretty or handsome face but is very arrogant and rude. Physical beauty fades because we will get old, we will have wrinkles and grey hair but a good attitude and character will remain until our hair turns grey. What about having all those attributes? If you all have those attributes above then you must be a **total package**. But I think there is no perfect human being, we all have flaws. We cannot excel in everything or we cannot have all the attributes to be a total package. Why beauty is relative? It is relative because we all have different personal preferences, whatever is beautiful in my eyes might not be beautiful to you. I think that it is made relative to make the judgement of beauty fair, why? ****For example;**** Alice is beautiful in the eyes of Diane as she's skinny, white complexion and has long hair, while she's not in the eyes of Sophia because she prefers tan skin, short hair and a voluptuous type of body. In that example, Alice looks beautiful in Diane's preferences while she's not in Sophia's preference. The judgement is fair because you can't be beautiful all the time and you can't be ugly all the time as well. **Endnotes:** Beauty is relative because we have different standards and personal preferences when it comes to justifying beauty.
