I honestly don't know why, after all the years of experience and time to learn that I've had, I keep thinking that asking for help and people offering it to me means that I'm actually going to get it. it doesn't. I'd think that I'd have learned by now that that's not the case, but no, I keep wasting my time and ending up disappointed. If I want something done, I have to do it myself. If I can't do it or bring myself to, it isn't going to happen. Either that or I have to pay someone exorbitant amounts of money, which I don't have.

Every time I exercise and play with the two little Pom boys that are up for adoption, I am reminded of how much I want to bring them home with me. Until I have a means to support myself and a home of my own, that's not going to be possible. It breaks my heart a little to have to leave them behind every weekend.

There are many things I don't like. One of them is content that contains spoilers, without spoiler warnings. We all know John dies in the end, but it's always a bummer to find how and when before I've got to that point in the story I'm enjoying watch unfold.

Possibly the most exciting thing that's happened to me this weekend, depending on perspective, is that at work this morning I took a Rottweiler skull to the face and had a nosebleed that lasted all of two minutes, if that. Otherwise, I'm being driven insane by an old bitch that sits and squeaks pitifully and nearly incessantly for no apparent reason. The only ways to get her to stop are to feed her or give her a tranquiliser pill.

I worked out earlier today that I know, to varying degrees, at least seven languages (or parts thereof). In order of fluency: 1. English (mother tongue) 2. Afrikaans (understand most of it if spoken to, can read and write it, can't speak it.) 3. Spanish (not as well as I used to, mostly reading it) 4. French (a few sentences) 5. German (a few sentences) 6. isiZulu (a few sentences and phrases; auditory/verbal only) 7. Japanese (mostly phrases; auditory/verbal only)

I've signed up to fountain.fm (again) to give a second chance to earning sats (on the Lightning Network) from listening to podcasts and creating clips/soundbites therefrom. That includes a podcast about how to create, manage and publish a podcast, coincidentally. (I've still not figured out how to register/upload content, though. Apparently, I need to use something called OPML, import it into Fountain and then claim it. I'll have to look into that.) Almost nobody of whom I know uses other people's shortlinks, all while fully expecting others to use theirs (myself included); they can't be trusted to go where the person providing them claims that they do. That's why almost nobody uses invite/referral links when creating an account on a Website (unless the only way to gain access is strictly by invitation/referral only, mainly to keep the scammers and spammers out). Sadly, the reason being is that scammers (and their bots) are notorious for abusing them. They even have names like Clifford J.
