The most complex and difficult part of IELTS is the written part-2 and in this writing task, the answer of the questions and the opinion of the examiner is complicated.

In other words, it is not possible to guess which is the correct answer. There can be several answers.

I will discuss in my article the pros and cons of the writing task, basics and how to get good marks oviously.

Therefore, the key to the success of this written section is to understand the context of the question paper and write the answers according to the questions.

Don't forget to keep in mind what the examiner might expect from you.You will be able to get good marks if you follow the following tips and avoid some common mistakes.

Let us first learn about the Writing Task of IELTS very briefly. First of all, this is a task of writing an essay.

That is to write an answer based on a short essay or statement. After reading the questions you need to write the answers with necessary reasons and examples.

How the marks are distributed?

Numbers will be given based on four subjects.

Task achievement (25%)
Coherence and cohesion (25%)
Vocabulary (25%)
Grammatical range and accuracy (25%)

For those who are very concerned about grammar, the good news is only few portion of marks are deducted for your grammatical errors.

It also means that if you neglect any of the four subject that I mentioned above, there will be a 25% chance of getting a less score.
So a well organized essay can help you getting good marks.

How much time will you get?

Usually 40 minutes is allotted for writing an essay. However, without proper preparation on how to write, you can run out of time quickly.

Here are some basic tips.Go through the following tips well and practice, then you will be able to give a good test I can assure you.

1) Answer the questions based on the context.

Reading quickly often leaves out much-needed material. The first thing you need to do to improve your skills is to mark the main mark of the given article and underline the required information.

2) Focus on the main theme

An example is given- Do you support Mr. Kamal's argument behind the violence in our society? In this case, you dont not need to express your opinion. You have to analyze what Mr. Kamal thinks or what ideas are given in the article about the violence. You have to explain whether you support the argument or not.So, the questions need to be answered carefully based on the context.

3)Don't forget about time management

Students are often asked to use the sentence in the questions in the essay. This practice, however, has an effect on word counting. An essay usually has to be between 150-200 words. But if you write more than 50 words (200 or 300) the number will be reduced. This can be a waste of time and numbers. So it is wise not to take sentences out of the question.

An essay of 250 words should normally take 40 minutes (1 hour is allotted for the entire written section, the first 20 minutes of which should be spent on the first question of the written section).

Although it may seem like there is no time at all, a strategy should be taken by thinking about the answer for 5-10 minutes before starting the answer.

Even then it takes 30 minutes to write 250 words. The examiner was not really interested in how many words he had learned, he was more concerned with the quality of the writing.

4)First write the composition part

We know that the written section of IELTS has 2 parts. In this case, it is better to write the composition or task-2 first. Because it has more numbers and required more time.
However,in this case,it is better to keep the time 40 minutes or less, otherwise it will be difficult to write the other part.

5)Think what kind of answers the examiner might expect

The examiner will judge on the basis of subject of Task Achievement, Coherence and Cohesion, Vocabulary, Grammatical Range and Accuracy.

So the composition must be neatly arranged and accurate. Incomprehensible essays cannot be written. Simple but well-structured essays are good so that the examiner does not have to go back and forth again and again to understand.

Think about it, if he gets bored reading your writing, will he give you more marks?

6) IELTS Vocabulary

Choosing a really long, difficult and unused word choice is not so important. No matter what word is used, repetition must be avoided.
When the essay is finished, go back quickly to see if any words have been written more than once. In particular, the simple words.
For example: simple, good, hard takes only 5 seconds to change to write plain, nice, difficult.

7) Coherence and cohesion

One of the four topics in question is coherence. You will be judged on how beautifully you can express your thoughts through words, sentences and paragraphs and this task is difficult for most people. A simple method for this is shown below with examples:

Think about the pros and cons of using coal as a source of energy. In your first paragraph you can write about the advantages and in the second paragraph you can write about the disadvantages. Now you need to create a connection between the two paragraphs.

The last line of the first paragraph should indicate what to say in the next paragraph.

Though coal is a relatively safe and reliable source of energy. But it also has some negative effects on our environment.
Now the reader will be interested to know what are the harmful effects?

It is important to remember that 25% marks are allotted for this cohesive discussion.

8) Avoid the penalties

This penalty is an obstacle. Thus you can get band score above 8.If you can overcome these penalties, success will come in the palm of your hand.

It is possible to achieve the highest score writing only quality paragraphs. The whole essay should never be written in a long paragraph.Several paragraphs can be used and it should be appropriate.

9) Using of paragraphs

Although there is no set number for how many should be used, three more - a total of five paragraphs - including the opening conclusion is enough. But everything depends depends on your answer.

10) Using of complex sentences

If you do not use a complex sentence, you will not be able to score above the band. For this, it is advisable to make a list of connecting words and memorize them.

These were the tips of IELTS Writing Task-2. If you practice well, you will definitely be able to give a nice test. I think I've made everything clear to you.
