Smartphone addiction, nowadays has become a matter of concern undoubtedly. Those who are addicted to their smartphone now trying to lessen their addiction.
But first you need to get over your own self. The way you are using your smartphone, seems like your hand, eyes and ears are glued to the 6 inch screen.
At the beginning I also had the same kind of addiction to smartphone and I hardly went outside of my room.
This is a malpractice and hampering not only your valuable time but also your physical health to be sure.
So I was thinking how can I lessen my smartphone addiction because when I wake up in the morning first thing I search where is my phone?
I am one hundred percent sure most of us do the same thing. After waking up, opening those eyelids I search my phone.
It is high time to stop this addiction and do something at least outside phone.
Those who work on phone you also need to take a break often.
Working on phone hours after hours hampers productivity. So here in my article I'll be writing about how to reduce your smartphone addiction. I'll introduce two apps to you and they'll help you.
First, you need to have strong promise and hard will to reduce your addiction.
If you don't have these, no matter what you do you'll never be able to get over your addiction.
Build a strong will inside you that you don't overuse your phone from today and strong promise that you'll spend one hour outside this six inch screen.
Forest: stay focused
Imagine you've a piece of land and in every second this place is getting greener and greener. You are planting trees and these trees are getting bigger and bigger every second you pass in that land.
But once you stopped watering those plants every single plant died and the place become black and white with no tree left alive. You'll feel this amazing experience in the forest app.
This app will help you to create a forest just like the name and whenever you touch the phone means stop watering the plants your forest will die.
Let's make it more clear for better understanding.
After you install this app you will see a piece of land and a tree in it.
Now choose your time. How much time do you want to stay out of the phone? Say you've chosen 1 hour.
In this one hour you'll not be able to use your phone. In the meantime, this app will not give you access to do anything.
In 1 hour your little plant will grow bigger and bigger, eventually will create a huge forest. If you use your phone in the middle your plant will die.
You can peacefully leave your phone ,pass some time outside the phone. The most interesting fact is when you come back after one hour you'll see a forest in front of you.
I, personally loved this idea of creating forest. Those who are in smartphone addiction problem this app might be a gem to you. One thing you can also white list some apps which is for emergency purpose.

Besides Forest, Appdetox can be a wise choice if you need to smartphone using time. Say you use Facebook too much or plays online games too much.
Now you are thinking to stop using only these particular app. If you use Appdetox you can lock those apps for a specific time.
If you lock down Facebook for one hour at least, after using Facebook for one hour you'll never be able to use this app. That locked app will be freezed.
