When pandemic hit the country we BPO employees had to do our best in order to find ways to survive not just for our family but also for the company and the economy. We opted to stay near site which we were advised to stay on hotels walking distance from the site. I for one was not able to go home for a month because for that. I had to leave my months old baby and my 3 years old baby at home because I had to strive hard especially that there was no proper help from the Local Government Units.

We had to in order to make sure that we would still have a job aftermath pandemic. And even up to now we are still trying and/or doing our best to work at home do overtime during rest days paid or not just to keep our company standing still because we want to make sure we could still keep our job!

Now it sucks to see and hear this news:

Because of another economic plight we are advised again to go back onsite and put our lives at stake knowing that covid is still all over be it vaccinated or not. How could a government decide for everyone's lives without thinking of what is best for the majority?

Hello?! With the rising price of goods and fare due to the on going war they would want us back to site?! Are they even thinking?!

Going back to site and working from home doesn't have any difference when it comes to productivity plus it is a lot safer. The time consumed for waking up 2-4 hours before scheduled shift to prepare for work and travel going to office could be use to spend with our family and look after our kids. We need to balance life now that we know that it is possible to earn while at home.

Distractions are there but you can really do something to make sure you get to focus on time.

I for one won't stand up from my station when it is not my scheduled break as I want to have that integrity of doing the right thing despite no one is watching.

Here are the main reasons why I did not want to go back onsite. My lovely legacy!

They got used to me being at home so as their father, they got used to us eating together and just running around our little home. Way back December when typhoon messed up not just our home but our lives my babies got sick because we kept on going to other places just to get some signal while my babies would be left at home with my mother. We struggled so much and made me suffer from over fatigue.

Work from home set up was a success for 2 years now and it shows that employees became more productive as they get to have sometime to rest plus bond with their family.

Imagine the convenience plus in case there is any task that we have to rush no need for us to stay late at night at the office and we need not to worry about going home safe because we are at the comfort of our own home!

Come on! Whoever idea is that to request employees to go back to site without giving any chance for us to choose is such a dick head!

...end thoughts...

I just wanted to really voice out my feelings because I know that when those in the position would really want to make it happen I got no choice but to obey same goes with the hundreds if not thousands of other employees working from home. It is such a heartbreaking fact that government can just rule over us just like that.
