Find Balance In All Things
Finding balance is becoming increasingly more challenging in our world today. We have busy work lives, busy social lives and a multitude of other factors that keep us on the go at all times. One of the most difficult things to find is time to ourselves.
Achieving balance is a lot easier said than done. In fact, for all the things we strive for in our lives, or at the very least all the things we think we want or need, it seems nothing is ever enough.
The key is to identify what that balance means to you.
For some it's being able to spend time with family. For others it's making work a priority in their world but also finding time to put their health first.
Researcher Laura King identified two types of flexibility when it comes to achieving that balance. She spoke about 'vertical' and 'horizontal' flexibility. Vertical flexibility is all about adjusting your schedule to ensure you do everything on your list. Horizontal flexibility is the ability to switch between your top priorities when things don't go as scheduled and move on to something less urgent when more pressing matters come up.
Balance is so important yet sometimes it’s hard to decipher what gives you that balance. Balance is not just about giving each other space, it also has to do with what you are putting into your space. If you have a life coach or a personal coach or business coach is to make sure that you are being intentional in what you are spending time.

Life can be challenging. Between school, work, and all the other responsibilities we have, it is easy to get caught up in the day-to-day hustle and forget what matters most. One way that I try to find some balance in my hectic schedule is by keeping track of my personal life and career goals in a planner. A planner can be a great tool for you as well! Not only do they help you keep track of daily tasks, they also allow you to set goals and reflect on your life every month. This past weekend, I took some time to reflect on my life and how I can improve going forward. One area I noticed that I wanted to change was with my finances. I've been super fortunate to have an amazing job that allows me to live comfortably and provide for my family.
Balance can also be defined as equality or inequality of weight or importance. When it comes to our lives, balance is defined as the state of equilibrium in the internal environment. We can have this state of balance in our lives by creating harmony among our relationships, our finances and health.
In regards to finances, if one can create a budget and follow it, they will have financial health. Balancing your relationships requires communication with those you are in relationship with and understanding where they are at with you and where they are at with themselves. Your health is another area which needs balance as it encompasses your physical, mental and spiritual well-being. One can find this state of balance by managing their emotions, practicing gratitude and meditating frequently. In finding this state of balance we can learn the truth; that our experiences can be used to grow and prosper.
We must also find balance in our efforts to achieve success. Too often we fail to do this and as a result, our lives run off the tracks. Our biggest obstacle is that we can't be of service when we are too busy getting things done. We may get the right results at first, but eventually the lack of balance becomes a hindrance to our progress.
Life lessons should be learned early so they stick with us. No one likes living off-track, so why not make it a habit to check ourselves constantly?
To keep your life on track, it is necessary that we find balance in all we do; in our work and in our play; in our bodies, minds and spirits; and in the service we provide and the contributions we make to society.
How you have used your time is not as important as how you are using your time now. Make sure you are staying on track with everything you do.
Balance is a very important word in our vocabulary. When we ask anyone to describe their life, they immediately talk about how they juggle different aspects, roles and responsibilities and that it can be challenging.
Life is not easy and at times, really challenging. It is necessary that we find ways to achieve some kind of balance in all we do. This is why I was very happy when I met a former acquaintance of mine last week who did exactly that. She was just as I remembered her, brimming with life and joy. When I asked her how things were going, she told me she had been recently promoted to a Senior Manager at work and was planning her wedding...all at the same time. She did mention the stress involved but it was obvious that she had found her balance between work and fun.
Life is one big balancing act and it is important for us to keep this in mind so that we do not allow the stress to get us down.
A Happy New Year to you all.
It's not easy to balance but I think it's necessary too because I don't think so keep things go with a flow is good What you say about it
