Good evening everyone.

What is reciprocal they say?.... RESPECT! It is duly observed and recognized when shown to someone. No one is above or below respect as it is agreed to be reciprocal. What happens when disrespect occurs? it could be a smaller scenario that could cause a hug e audience. When describing someone or appraising someone, the word respect can't be forgotten and has never been forgotten. That word goes with humility. A humble person is respected and regarded responsible both in our school, home, places of work and everywhere. No wonder why it is a basic teaching for kids because as a child grows, he grows with whatever people around of him feeds him. If a child grows up in a disloyal environment, he tends to be out of respect and becomes a blame to all.

All around the world and ever Since, respect has been duly observed and noted. This can come in honors and titles. People are given award of loyalty or respect on different occasions. Therefore, it is good to be good and keep doing good.

All humans on earth have been respected or treated with respect. In the same way, we have been disrespected in one or two ways, now the feeling we get when we are shown respect and the feeling of not being respected are two different and opposite feelings. Daddy used to tell me that loyalty will take you far, farther than you can go. So many stories he told us those days, how his friend was recognized untimely and promoted for showing keen and absolute respect to his superior. All these stories and more are success' spearheaded by the art of respect!

I have been in a place where someone who was guilty of an offence was granted free with many supporters siding him with the reason that he always respect everything around him. They pleaded in his behalf and were ready and prepared to set him free at all cost. This tells me that good reputation matters! a good name we have and a better one we make for ourselves.

In my tribe (Ibo) we literally believe that "a good name is better than riches" this good name here is as a symbol of respect and what others speak if you. What people say at our back could also reflect by the way we interact with them or treat them. When you show some respect, the return for loyalty is huge and I have always believed in this. It like work and eat in a more practical instance.

As a child grows, some certain stages of growth will involve practicing what they hear and see others do in their environment. At this time, they are being taught how to show respect not just at home but even outside home and as smart as kids are, they try to welcome visitors the Same way adults do. This is because they have been seeing or have been taught how to. So, having respect is also in our attitude and behavior. It in a way can't be separated from good manner.

At school, we are taught on ethics which includes respect to our elders and seniors. At maturity, the art of respect has been fully understood and absorbed. We are wholly expected to show this art passed onto us to everyone on every occasions. but sometimes grown ups are seen bantering words at home, schools and different places. Who is to blame? nobody. Kiddies will always be blamed and punished when they fail to show respect. These same adults who sanctions them still fall guilty of the same crime and would claim their rights without conscience.

Once upon a time in a public bus, a lady asked her fellow lady to sit down so she could direct her son come meet her. The standing lady gave a stare and kept standing still. When she was confronted by another passenger, she claimed that she was being spoken to as a kid, that the lady who asked her to sit should do so with plea and politeness. This small thing here stored up anger between both of them and they ended up quarrelling, calling themselves names. I wasn't really there to witness how it happened but according to story, the passengers split into two. One siding the standing lady and the other siding the sitting lady. No one agreed to be wrong until they reached their destination. Funny life!

As adults, respect should be seen in all our endeavors day by day. In school, church and even at home because so many people are fund of being a saint outside and a beast at home. This happens to r a common characteristic of man. Everyone is expected to have a quality of respect. Show and apply them in all and every of our dealings. Respect they say; is reciprocal. Treat others as they would treat you for respect brings peace, love and unity.

When it comes the respect that shouldn't base on how old the person is, or how rich. Everyone deserves to be respected and so as you.
