War is not a language, it won't resolve issues.
The Russian invasion of Ukraine has raised lots of questions and gotten the attention of people from almost all parts of the world. Seeing innocent people suffer is heartbreaking and I don't know why leaders globally will opt-in for war knowing so much that it would hurt the lives of their citizens.
I have read different articles and posts from different sources defending the Russian President's action and condemning Ukraine while some backed Ukraine and tackled the Russian government for abusing power by invading Ukraine knowing full well that they have the bigger chances of tearing the country apart but are those argument or claims necessary when people are losing their lives, their loved one, properties and many more?
The world is still struggling from the causality of Covid19, there are countries still on lockdown and many yet to recover, families are still trying to get back on their feet and someone somewhere thinks that going to War is the next thing to do. I believe that regardless of who is at fault, the safety and well-being of the people should be the leader's top priority.
I didn't experience any war but reading about the previous wars makes me want to believe that everyone in the government knows that a war is definitely a setback for the world. No matter what they are trying to achieve is not worth the killing, if leaders are having issues - they should go to an island and fight hand to hand.
Over 100 million lives were lost in World War II, I believe the world turned into hell. Most of the world leaders were part of the world war, why would they want such again knowing very well that the outcome would be disastrous.
Power can't be intoxicating:
I want everyone keen on accumulating power to understand that you need to be very careful because power can be very intoxicating.
Excessive power can make people misbehave because it would make you feel like you are untouchable, it makes you see others like nothing, it can make you lose the humanity in you. One of the things that made the Russian president insist on attacking Ukraine despite being persuaded by many world leaders is the power he possesses, it takes lots of discipline to be able to contain excessive power.
I don't care why he insisted on the war but how would you be able to sleep after you have fought and killed thousands of people who didn't raise a finger against you.
I saw images of people running for safety, they had to abandon their homes, parents separated from their children, is that really what the world needs right now? The resources available in the world are not even circulating and the only thing we can think of is destroying them.
The world wants peace.
News that caught my attention was seeing Russians protest against the attack on Ukraine and that shows that a bigger percentage of the world wants peace but our leaders find it fun oppressing one another because of the power they have.
If the people want peace, why shouldn't the president want the same? It is not a government for the people.
Trust me when I say that everyone is tired of fighting, we all want to live a peaceful life. Covid19 has taught us lots of lessons that made us value our existence and that of the people around us.
I don't know the extent this would go between the two countries but I hope this madness stop so that people can return to their normal lives again.
The same government that can't provide jobs, social amenities, or even make the economy of their country great are eager to go to war.
Where are they getting the funds? Isn't it still the people's money?
There are better ways to make our voice heard and war shouldn't be an option because it would only wreak more havoc, create hate between countries instead of resolving the problems on the ground.
We are powerless and one way to support the citizens of the affected country is by praying that peace is restored and they can sleep, walk around without the fear of being hit by bullets.
War is not a language that would resolve issues, it would only complicate situations and send the world into despair so let's embrace peace and spread love regardless of color, race, or the part of the world we are from.
Wars are so unnecessary, but there is a lot of healing work to do for everyone, before we can move into the world with no wars.
