Will the world ever learn that Racism won't do us any good? I will like to welcome everyone to March, it is my birth month and a special one to me as well. Let's forget about the setbacks we had in January or February, having the grace to see the new month means that you have the privilege to make amendments to the wrong or mistakes we made in the previous months or years, and doing what's right shows how much you value the gift of life. Not many are blessed with what you have, appreciating it matters a lot. If you have lost in the previous month, be rest assured that something great is coming your way this month as long as you don't give up on yourself, and if you did make gains, don't mock those who didn't. Instead, you should work harder because nothing in life can be predicted, even death which is fixed can be predicted to come at a particular time.
The Ukraine and Russia crisis is not new news to anyone but things are happening as a result of the crisis that I can't take my mind off and this thing got me thinking if the world, in general, will ever learn a lesson that the world can only become a better place if we embrace, love, tolerate and shun discrimination of any kind among ourselves. The difference we see among ourselves is one of the reasons why we have things to hate each other, the world will only attain a new level of peace if we put those differences aside. Religion, Language, Belief, Skin color has been the reason for hatred among humans for ages but we have successfully included separating the rich from the poor and now, it is the vaccinated against the unvaccinated. All these differences we see as reasons to fight one another are nothing and if you think I am wrong, how many times has your TV networks talked about Covid19 since the Ukraine and Russia crisis started? The people of Libya, Yemen, Palestine, and others who are going through their crises are even sending prayers for the safety of Ukrainians and peace to rain, doesn't that send a message across the world that having a different religion or belief doesn't make us different or a reason to be targeted? I see on different Nigerian platforms praying for Ukraine and global peace, doesn't that make us understand that color means nothing when we truly love one another? We were all born and would leave someday, our differences don't mean we would be living forever. **Why then would people be deprived of safety after fleeing from a war zone if not for discrimination?** I followed the #AfricansinUkraine after seeing a disturbing video of a baby in 3° weather conditions and I came across lots of new videos of black people being prevented from entering into other countries while they seek safety. https://mobile.twitter.com/hashtag/AfricansinUkraine?src=hashtag_click
https://mobile.twitter.com/Damilare_arah It doesn't stop with Africans, even Indians claimed to be denied an entry for safety and it made me doubt if the world will ever learn this one lesson of Love. Discrimination is everywhere in the world, is it a crime to be black? Why does being a Christian or Muslim have to be the reason for being hated by some people? The contemporary English version of John 7:1 says "don't condemn others and God won't condemn you". Discrimination or racism, whichever way you call it is a terrible sin and I believe it is one of the reasons why the Bible emphasizes loving our neighbors as ourselves.
Without curbing the wings of racism, the world can't be at peace because the act fuels negative feelings about others and the outcome is always disastrous. If the world keeps turning away the lessons from the past horrible experience the world has gone through because of racism, more would keep happening. The heartbreaking thing about it is how we let this act transfer from generation to generation, aren't we tired of fueling hate? I haven't been around the world but I see how Nigerians treat foreigners/ expatriates who work here, we treat them with respect and citizens come together to defend them when they have issues with other Nigerians and I believe it should be that way. How do we express our love for one another if we can't defend or protect ourselves in difficult situations? I don't know who needs to hear this but we must understand that racism and discrimination won't take the world to the point of peace, it is a path of destruction we must quit traveling on. I hope leaders globally speak on behalf of the people stuck at the various border and help them get to safety, peace raining in the world remains a priority. God bless us all.

That's what I don't understand. Why does color, belief, gender orientation, ethnicity, etc. be a big deal? Why not appreciate and celebrate each other's differences. It should be eradicated so we can all have peace and understanding. If I am to choose between being perfect and being kind, I will always choose to be kind. I hope others do that too.
This is really an eye opener for those racial prejudice, I don't know why some people are so obsess on discriminating one another, because of the color of their skin, the hair, the religion etc... Why does we just accept people as who they are, this world is already harsh yet there's still people who make it much more raucous.
Racism always exist and we Asian sometimes experienced that a lot of times in some western countries. And I agree with you is this does not exist indeed we gonna have a peaceful world.
Discriminations are one of the big problems the world can't solve, if we learn to focus on ourselves and just pure love, the world will be a better place to all of us
I really don't know why people have to criticize each other.... We are all human anyway
We are definitely all humans, no matter what their reasons are. I think the people safety regardless of color or race sold be a priority.
I feel bad while watching the video, why will the leave the African behind? And everyone is praying for them over there, why ? When will this racism stop, it's high time we see ourselves as one, but I'm not seeing the possiblity, instead it's getting worse everyday. I pray that God should be the refuge of the helpless people over there. This is a painful occurrence.
I say a big amen to your prayers when a man fails to lift the needy, God will intervene. This is becoming a normal thing in society and it is stylishly tearing the world apart.
Living in a world full of differences and different paradigms is something that creates a gap in seeing things. for me racism is an act that is not commendable because God created humans to be the same, but some people don't care about this, maybe some people will never understand that there is no point in distinguishing each other but that is the reality that must be faced because honestly humans are not always good.
We were all created equally and when the time comes, we would leave the world. God is not biased, he didn't create anyone superior to another. We humans created the difference.
You are right, not giving up is one of the ways that great success can be achieved. Welcome to the month of March! Discrimination never ends well but still people take pride in feeling bigger than others and I still can't understand the need for all the trouble and drama.
It is really pointless preventing some people who are not your enemy to flee from a war zone, racism is one of the world biggest challenges.
