What would be your answer if this question was compulsory for you to answer?
I would have wished to answer this question but I became confused after putting some things into consideration. As a matter of fact, I have seen people demonstrate with their actions that life is cheap while some actions prove it to be expensive and another of people believe it is priceless.
If I am not wrong, science has been able to do and undo in the world today, it has made life easier and brought harm at the same time but creating life is something they will never be able to achieve, not even in this generation. I think there is a mystery that surrounds life because it is quite easy to know how the body works, the organs but life remains unexplainable.
We have seen big organ transplants due to the illness that has no cure roaming about the world but once life leaves the body, it can't be restored. There are so many companies into robotics, I think the only thing stopping them from creating a normal human is life and if they can do that, it would just erase God existence. All this makes me understand how priceless life is but the things happening in the world has made me questioned my belief on several occasions, I usually respect people thoughts, belief, and ideas but I lost my respect for people who directly or indirectly say that life is either cheap or expensive irrespective of whatever point they have to back it up.
Actions making life look expensive.
I was watching a crime show, a woman was arrested at the airport for smuggling hard drugs. People have device a lot of means of smuggling hard drugs, it got to the extent that they ingest it knowing that it is harmful and a slight burst of it in the belly can end their lives, yet they go on doing it.
It has become a regular thing for them despite people losing their lives to it, I feel like they have no respect for it. It got me asking if life doesn't have any value to them or is it too expensive that they needed to do the dirty thing just to make money so that they enjoy life to the fullest?
We truly need money to live a good life but putting our life at risk in exchange for wealth is not worth it because if the life eventually ends in the process, the wealth becomes useless. Some people have nothing, some people don't have any hope of the next meal but they are grateful for life because, with it, they can change their story for good.
The saying that " when there is life, there is hope" is still very relevant in the world and we just need to keep pushing until things get better for us.
Actions that make life look cheap.
Thinking about the topic brought back the memories of various terrorist attacks across the globe, it brought back events I have read about people ending others' life. To them, it looks like life is cheap but they are too forgetful to remember that it can't be replaced once it is taken.
The breadwinner of different families, people with dreams, fathers, mothers, and kids who are meant to carry on family legacies have been killed in cold blood, these people don't have respect for life and they find it fun killing people.
I don't care about what they think but the fact that they can't replace or create life has proven that life is not cheap.
I am not concluding but I think life is priceless.
Actions that make life priceless.
Look at the big names who have left the world, do you think many of them would have died if life had a price?
They have enough and would go at any length just to pay for life if it has a price, some would even pay to be immortal just because they don't want to leave the world anymore.
The price of life can't be estimated and that makes it priceless for me. The richest man in the world can't pay for an extra day if his time is up here on Earth, no amount of wealth can make him stay or bring him back.
Since life is priceless, the things we do while we have it is what matters and no matter how long we live, we should ensure that we don't make our creator regret putting us in this world.
