I want to believe that everyone on this platform is an adult, there might be teens but the majority of us would be an adult.
Let assume the least age we can find on the platform is 18 years, that's a whole lot of years not to talk of people who are over 40 years of age. As short as we might look at that number, it is a whole lot of years. Sometimes I wonder how it is easy to remember events of thirty years ago, some people have good memories that they will even be specific about the time and day of the event they are sharing.
I have heard people saying age is just a number, I don't argue about it but those numbers mean a lot to our lives and the things we have through counting those number makes our story a unique one. Hundreds of us can say our stories and you do be surprised that we all will have something different to say.
Let me appreciate my sponsors, you guys have been special and supportive. Your kindness motivates me and I pray that the Almighty God will always be there for you in life.
I don't have business with anyone's age, the article is about appreciating the uniqueness of your journey and I would love everyone to open their mind while reading through.
How would you feel if you are been told that you will embark on a journey that would last 10 years before you reach your destination??
No, I don't want to embark on such a journey because no matter how fun it is, it would be exhausting. Those trips ain't for me because I don't like going too far away from home and if I do, I always look forward to going back home.
Little did many of us know that we are on a journey and some of us will even spend over 100 years traveling around the world before returning home.
Don't be surprised or do we need to start talking more about home? I don't think that's necessary because we all understand that life is a journey, we will stop traveling at one point and everyone would return home whether we want to or not.
Looking back, the journey has been different for every one of us but here we are today hoping for a safe journey in peace, comfort, happiness, good health, and others. A day will come when we will reach a point during the journey and all that would be left is to return home.
Think about these things...
We were all born differently, some were born at home while some were in the hospital, and that doesn't put us in a different world instead it made our delivery story fun when our mom says it over and over again.
Some of us were carried over nine months while some weren't up to that and some were born prematurely.
Some people were born into a rich family, some into an average family while some were born into a poor home. It reflected in our lives financially but it doesn't make us less as a human.
Some started schooling early while some started late, some started late and finished early while some started early and finished late. Some don't even have the opportunity when they were younger but they still strive to get themselves educated even as an adult.
Some were intelligent while some weren't and it made some people graduate with good grades while some graduated with low grades.
Some got jobs immediately after school while some waited for years and some still haven't gotten one to date.
While some are moving from one job to another, some are praying to get employed for the first time in their life.
Some got married early while some couldn't even get into a serious relationship, some are single and have kids while some are married and are dying to have their child after many years of marriage.
There are days we fell ill and we thought we wouldn't survive it, there are days we go on compulsory fasting because we had nothing to eat.
Sleepless nights because of bills, there are days when shelter became a problem, and there are days when we had a surplus of what we were lacking at a point in life.
Despite everything, we are still here trying to be better people in life than we were yesterday.
I have seen people condemn their journey because of the imperfection and challenges they encountered through the journey, they did that because they fail to understand that their journey so far has been unique. Every hard time we went through was for a purpose but we are so much buried in the pains and regret that we turn a blind eye to the purpose.
Should I say our journey in life has been designed?
In my case, I would say yes because every disappointment happened for a purpose. Every setback happened for a purpose and I have come to believe that if they didn't happen, I might not be where I am today.
I may not have the world at my feet, I don't have luxury cars or a house in the most expensive cities in the world but I believe that my journey has been unique. It is not just me, your journey has been unique as well.
While you are wishing to be like someone else, there are people praying to be in that position you are. Instead of feeling bad about what you have been through, appreciate the uniqueness of your journey as you continue walking on the path to greatness.
Thanks for reading.
Some people say "everything happens for a reason" sometimes im wondering what that reason was. I want to know the reason for that everything.
Theres no denying that we have different journeys to go in our lives and it's our way on how to make our journeys a purposeful one. Anyways, thanks George_Dee for this article of yours. It gives me something to ponder about. 🙂💙
