Happy day dear readers of Read.cash, I hope you are all well. Continuing with the articles of Venezuela in a Puzzle, we culminate the second part of the Anzoategui State.

Being an advanced student at the university, we created a theater group called Projection, being me the director of the same, we mounted some works of Aquiles Nazoa and several short plays, this helped us to make presentations in various locations, on one occasion starting the vacations, we went all the theater group from the State of Monagas to Anzoategui State, the funny thing is that we had no vehicle, so we had to ask for queue.

The first place was in Anaco, the organizers received us very well, the next day we made the presentation and the next day we went to Cantaura which is very close to Anaco, to make the second presentation, from there we continued to Aragua de Barcelona, where one of the members of the group lives, we had a party, but at that time they were celebrating the feast of Santa Ana, very close to where we were and we were invited to participate, so that day we made another presentation in that town. After there we continued asking for queue to Barcelona, some of us found in pick-up or in trucks, two people of the group got in a hearse that transported a corpse to Barcelona, from Barcelona each one continued towards their home.

Also my older brother was looking for me to know his farm in the community of Tascabaña, Anzoátegui state, this area is home to the Kariña indigenous people, who settled several centuries ago between the center and south of this state, especially in the area of the Mesa de Guanipa; the unity among the members and the faithful attachment to their customs has allowed them to preserve their historical and cultural richness.

They have dedicated part of their lives to the elaboration of handicrafts and to the activities of the conuco, especially to the cultivation of bitter yucca for the elaboration of cassava as well as to the preparation or elaboration of Kashiri, a fermented drink based on yucca or cassava that is burned, they also practiced hunting and rarely fishing. Among their cultural activities was the Mare Mare, which is a sacred dance and music that the Kariñas performed to honor the moon. The dance is characterized by the small steps that the dancers perform back and forth, always accompanied by the flute, maracas, cuatro and guitar.

This is a state with a long history of war between the royalist army and the patriots. In the city of Barcelona, capital of the state of Anzoátegui, during the War of Independence many people died in the Casa Fuerte, which was an old colonial Franciscan convent that, after being occupied by the royalist and patriot troops, more than 1600 people were killed while trying to defend the place. At the present time the remains of this Casa Fuerte are cared for and maintained as a Historical Monument and it is said that the grieving souls lament among the ruins of the old convent, I only went to visit with my companions and family in the mornings.

The El Morro tourist complex, in the city of Puerto La Cruz, where private residential complexes were built, which could be accessed through the sea, by a pier or by land; it is a tourist, commercial and industrial city of great potential.

El Morro hill offers a panoramic view of the Caribbean Sea, there is a group of luxurious hotels along the way, when you reach the top you can see the immensity of the sea, Barcelona, El Morro Tourist Complex and Puerto La Cruz. We used to climb the hill El Morro in our vehicle, on January 1st at 4 am to wait for the first sunrise of the year and make a wish just at the moment when its first rays appear, I do not remember if some of them were fulfilled, hehe.
