The change you need begins with you
Our world is replete with so many troubles and challenges. Every day, people are buffeted with the daunting and knotty issues of life. There is so much deprivation all around us; abject poverty, the decline in the standard of living, oppression, and deprivation are the unspoken language of our society. The gory sight of accidents and environmental degradation have attained frequency never imagined years back. An Indian sage Mahatma Gandhi posited that "we must be that change we seek". Indeed we are the change that we need in our society.
The best drivers of change are the people in society. Over the years, we have been clamoring for an enduring change in our social, economic, spiritual, and social-political life all to no avail. Although many have reasons to dispute the immortal words of the sage, there is however a consensus that peace and stability have been elusive to most nations of the world. Over time, the life expectancy rate has been a sharp drop and the standard of living, especially among people in the third world nations is on a steady decline. Who will remedy the situation? This is a challenge for all of us.
To get things right, we must get involved. We must rise to make an impact in the lives of others. We must make a positive contribution towards expanding the frontiers of human growth and development. We must be charitable in lifestyle and philanthropic in tendencies. Yes, we can make a difference.
Every day, and in every group or gathering, we hear discussions about change, not the surface change but the drastic and fundamental change necessary for the transformation and overhauling of the social fabrics of our society that were never implemented. Constantly complaining about the problems without a readiness to address the root causes of the problems will certainly leave us worse off. And that's how it has been. We need men and women who will take the world by storm and help to bring about the much-desired change. How many of us are ready to take the bull by the horn and make significant changes for posterity?. How many of us are standing up for the course of Justice and freedom in our environment? How many are ready to give back and help each other create the change we all desire and the society of our dream?
The world is moving fast. Are you ready to be super-rich, mega qualified, greatly connected, and most influential? Do you want to attain a height of great and immense proportion? Do you want financial visibility? Do you want to come into the limelight? Fair enough, it's your right to dream. But know that just living in a society and expecting to further your personal growth and feather your family nest without corresponding contribution is indeed Utopia.
For us to achieve the society of our dream we all must give adequately and commensurably. We need to see our immediate environment like ours and as collective shareholders. We must uphold the principle y collective contribution. we can always make a contribution no matter how little the value. Of course, it's not the size but the will that counts most. "Becoming a man or woman of means and value is not in our valuables". Our valuable possessions derived their value from the use they're put into. We must engage ourselves with practical dynamism for the minimization of problems or at least prevent their hash effects on humanity.
A sustainable happy life call for impactful giving. Giving is living, a man that has nothing to give has nothing to live for. There's more happiness in giving than in receiving. Genuine givers are always happy because they enjoy making others happy. As little as a smile, and words of encouragement, many have been saved from great hardship and emotional trauma. A little time spent for others and with others speaks volumes. A little energy exerted for the benefit of others can indeed increase our happiness. Givers are receivers in dimensions and circles not quantifiable.
They received in abundance what no amount of money can buy. Genuine givers receive good health, love, respect, attention, and friends. They are greatly honored anywhere they go. They represent God and reflect the biblical teaching of brotherhood. God is a giver and his greatest attribute is giving. We must all experience the happiness of giving by sharing with others what we have.
Do you want to achieve game and relevance? Then make a famous contribution. Do you want to blossom into the limelight? Giving is the vehicle. Do you want to attain height unprecedented in your chosen career? Then make an unprecedented contribution to support mankind in your immediate community or the general society. Be generous with all that you have. Make others resourceful with your resources. "We make a living by what we get, but make a life by what we give". Giving is living and giving is lifting. We all have something to give for the betterment of others. Let's start giving back, we can start today, we can start now.
Giving doesn't mean giving up your aspirations nor does it mean surrendering your hard-earned fortune to others. It does not stop your drive for personal accomplishment nor hinder you from achieving your dream of a successful life. Giving simply means making an immense contribution towards the upliftment of others. In fact, giving should be a lifestyle. Giving should be made a way of life for every one of us. The beauty of exchange should be projected more than before. Cultivating a genuine passion for human welfare and advancement should be a ready identity for every one of us. No matter how busy we are as individuals we always give back. This means standing up for others in their moment of challenge, this does not entail losing focus for greatness but learning and practicing the tenets of brotherhood.
Notwithstanding, each of us has the capacity and potential to make the change that we all earnestly want to see in our world. Irrespective of our social status and busy schedules, we can at least contribute our quota for the betterment of others. Genuine giving is a way of life. It is not a "one-time investment". It is a regular duty to God and mankind. Irrespective of what we can give, we can regularly make our contributions to others who are below the level of our challenges.
The world can not be a better place without giving. It is incumbent on every one of us to give our best to bring about the change that we need. We must change from a life of selfishness to a life of selflessness. We can bring about economic change in the life of the economically deprived. For those struggling with the basic necessities of life, we can be the change in their lives. That does not require you to be in a position of authority before you can do that. You don't need to be Elon Musk or Bill Gates before you can lift others. You don't need to have multiple degrees before engaging in giving to lift others. All we need do is to prioritize the area we can give the best. We can give our best in areas of core competence and ability. We can offer our services in areas of food, water, health, space, skills acquisition, etc. We all can change the world.
There are great benefits attached to giving. To change the world, we need to try hard to give and render help to those in need.
Everything with us needs changes and we need to start it with us because it begins with you and I. They say that charity begins at home and to make it happen, we need to be sure to start doing the needful.
You can impact the good deed in you to the outside world and also to make the world a better place to be.
I'm sure that everyone needs the change
