PUNKAPES, a new NFT collection on smartBCH sold out in 8 hours

The first time I saw the art of this project I knew it was going to be something amazing. Everything about this artwork is superb. It’s extremely detailed, incredibly well-designed, and the minting impeccably executed. Punkapes is the brainchild of the artist behind Gambling Ape Club GAC, one of the first NFT collections on smartBCH to sell out in minutes. The creator's ability to create a blend of LAWPunk and Gambling apes into something unique it’s nothing short of pure genius.

With only about 80 members in the telegram chat group and 10,000 pieces of Punkapes to be minted, no one would think the minting of this collection would be a success let alone getting sold out in under 8 hours. It’s insane, this has taken the community by storm. Those who were waiting for the minting to go halfway before buying Punkapes were disappointed to discover to that Punkapes were already sold out before they woke up. This will be a new record that will be hard to break by any project in the near future. The first project to sell out 10,000 pieces of NFT supply, with less than 100 members in the community.

Usually, a new project spend weeks and even months to build a community of members to secure this kind of number in sales. Not Punkapes, which was launched with a small community and not hyped around several telegram groups, yet, got sold out the first day in under 8 hours. This shows how unique and well-designed this NFT is. Though the community was few in numbers, investors were willing to put in their wallets and got as many pieces as possible, to get the best of the collection. This means only a handful of smartBCh users are the ones holding these NFTs right now.

If you didn’t manage to get Punkapes, you still have a chance to get one at the secondary market for a great price. A lot has already been listed on Oasis and the floor price holding well at 0.03 BCH which is a little above the mint price. I believe the price of Punkape will develop as it becomes even more scarce in the market and it is evident it will appreciate.

One thing that will help the price development is the few people that currently holding these NFTs, and most of them are not willing to sell now. Another reason that could influence Punkeape value is the synergy between GAC and PUNKAPES, something that brings a new dimension to the development of projects in the smartBCH ecosystem.

The Punkape project will be an offshoot of the Gambling Ape Club GAC and will be following development from the same roadmap. This will make Punkapes two projects in one, and we expect great success from this collaboration. With great use cases coming out of the collaboration, it will make Punkapes one of the best projects in the smartBCH community.

This will be another opportunity for investors to build their NFT portfolio and profit from the gains in the future. With the use cases gradually rolling out, the NFT value can rise, and new people will get a chance to invest. I minted a dozen myself and have 3 listed on Oasis to recoup my initial investment and keep the rest as my profits. I will sell those 3 and 1 other, and let the others grow in value.

Also, another interesting thing that has not been mentioned above about this project is the possibility of a new NFT base token in the smartBCH community. This can be another great chance for investors to put their money to work as well and potentially earn more. This is just the beginning, as much as we love this project and consider it a potential rocket ship, it will only be truly realized if the community of users continues growing.

Now is the time, let’s show that smartBCH is at the top of the leaderboard and start providing investors with several great projects to invest in.
