Five keys to discovering your true self
Real self-discovery requires courage and stamina. To draw close to your inner man, you must break free from distorted false beliefs that becloud your view.
If you feel anxious about improving yourself, remember: everyone is different. Someone else's lifestyle cannot be your measure of success, because they have different dreams, desires, and abilities. There is also no road map or good outcome in life because everyone's path is their own and theirs alone.
FIND OUT WHO YOU ARE
Before you can become your best self, you need to identify your most important “identity” - values, desires, and interests that define who you are in life. Have a chat with yourself about what you would be like on a first date. Pretend your good man or lady sits with you and ask that person: What jobs do you like? Who do you enjoy being with? What contributions do you want to make to the world? What is your happiest memory? Give yourself honest and truthful answers.
As the conversation unfolds, pay attention to your emotions. If you notice “negative” feelings like anxiety or anger, you are probably telling yourself hidden negative messages that hide your conversation. Dig deeper into the driving feelings. Are you afraid you will fail to find them? Are you afraid of what you will find when you dig deeper?
While it is tempting to feel inadequate, the truth is that each of us is perfect in the absolute sense. Communicating with these essentials will free you up to be your best version.
1. Release yourself from false beliefs
You know who you are - but do you know who you can be? Most of us have been held to a preconceived notion of what we believe: false ideas about our inner nature. By learning to recognize and let go of any confusing beliefs that keep you from being the best you can be, you will be able to move on and find the person you are.
2. Increase your energy
Focus on your strengths and you will be stronger in those areas, being fully self-sufficient along the way. Focusing on your strengths is also important when you reach a roadblock - which you will do. As you increase your energy, remember what you bring to the table, and you will crush the obstacles in your path.
3. Develop a sense of growth
No one is built on strength alone. We all have pain points that need to be taken care of if you want to be your best version. Successful people are in control of their destiny. They believe that there is no weakness. There are only opportunities for improvement. Instead of focusing on what they did wrong, they focused on how they could improve and take steps to get there.
4. Get rid of expectations
Our beliefs create our world - but unfortunately, sometimes our beliefs are not ours. Like most of us, you build at least a portion of your identity in the expectations of others. The process of incorporating the values of others into your world was ignorant, and bringing it to mind is the key to learning how to make your best translation. Your idea of who you want to be should be yours - no one else.
5. Be willing to give up your old self
When you decide to find the right person you are, you are raising the bar to be above you (your old man) and the people you know. "Your old man" will resist this because of feelings of insecurity and unknown fear. Resist the urge to cling to the norm - a hold that holds you back - and embrace a sense of belonging
Conclusion
No two people are alike. We all have our unique destinies to follow, and our paths are different from each other. Why try to be someone else when you have your God-given destiny? The greatest achievement you can have in life is finding your true version.,
There is so much freedom and power when you discover who you are. The best way to waste time in life is to try to be someone else. Stop looking at someone else's life as a guide for your own life. Break free from the expectations of others and be your best version.
