Desire is the foundation of every achievement
Desire is the source of all creation; everything stems from it, and it begins in the heart. The feelings of joy, accomplishment, fulfillment, and realization are all triggered by desire, and they provide us with the energy and emotions we need to keep moving forward toward our objectives. In the scripture, it was the desire of God that lead to the creation of everything that was made, and in the same way, we are to have the belief that our desires can be fulfilled.
Everyone born on this earth has desires; we all want to be wealthy, respected, successful, happy, and healthy. The problem is that only a small percentage of us take action to make those desires a reality. Everyone has desires, but only a few individuals realize them and are willing to put in the effort, discipline, faith, and determination required to overcome barriers in the pursuit of those desires.
The good news is that we know that anyone who believes in their dreams and works hard to achieve them will succeed. The goal is to develop successful habits that will bring us to success by themselves. It is indeed worth having huge ambitions and living in them when our wishes come true and we get what we want.
However, not all of us achieve what we desire and we often have to pay a heavy price for those seemingly disappointing moments. One great example is the pursuit of happiness. Many people just have to look around to see that happiness is not an issue; in fact, most people are happier than before they acquired what they wanted.
The difference is only in how we view the situation. We choose to see it as a blessing and see it as something we can come back to at any time. For others, happiness is something they are never satisfied with; they seek satisfaction and never feel content with what they have. For some, their happiness is in external objects and people, but for others, happiness is in internal factors such as self-esteem, respect, appreciation, and family, friends, and peace.
We all have the power to choose our path in life and it is when we choose the path of meaning, purpose, and direction that we experience the ultimate source of our desires and happiness. In the end, the only thing that can harm us is an unfulfilled desire. No one can take it away from us and we are the ones responsible for our actions.
We are bound to have conflicting desires in our life at some point. We all have goals and values, and at certain times in our lives, we may even have conflicting goals that we work towards simultaneously. It is only a short-sighted way of thinking to only seek after one thing at the expense of another.
The definition of success is like an unshaken foundation of desires; when you are finished with it, you can build your success upon it and use it as the cornerstone for future advancement. Desire is the foundation of our dreams and goals that determine our ultimate goal and pursuit. If we have a dream without a strong foundation of desire, the thing will remain a dream and never be fulfilled.
Your life is a marathon. In every race, the person that crosses the finish line is the person who has had the most determination, worked the hardest, pushed themselves, and kept going despite the adversity they faced along the way. If your desire is to succeed, it means that you must not stop and you should never give up. The journey is never easy and as most journeys go, it is the destination that is remembered most and the true success is measured by the effort we put in to arrive at our destination.
We must become committed to achieving our goals and the road to success is no different. It will require great effort, sacrifice, and hard work. The first few months of any race may be easy, but the battle to victory is about to begin as the desire of your vision is filled with inner satisfaction and excitement. You now have a solid foundation upon which you can build upon. You have developed the ability to persist in the face of resistance, hardship, and obstacles. Success is only a mental state, and it is not a destination that can be reached with effort, but a journey that needs to be realized.
We are all passionate about our dreams and goals. We all have the desire to attain and are driven to do so. The difference is whether or not you will make a concerted effort to achieve your goal. You may face many roadblocks in your journey and you will undoubtedly face periods of discouragement, uncertainty, and doubt. To move forward, you will need the inner strength to keep on moving and to persevere, even when it seems to the point that there is no path that leads you in the right direction.
We have all had times in our life when we have had a difficult time obtaining our desires. We have had the desire to purchase something or to have a certain person as a friend, but were not able to due to some circumstances beyond our control. We may have had the dream of being a business owner or even a professional athlete and even though we were physically fit, we had no desire to take the necessary steps and prepare to make our dreams a reality.
Without a strong foundation of desire, our dreams of being professional athletes or business owners would never become a reality. It is hard to make a mistake and lose sight of what is really important, but as long as we don’t dwell on what we do not have, we will see the blessings that we do possess, and that will enable us to work towards achieving our goals and desires.
Do you have a dream or a goal that seems impossible to achieve? Are you running from that dream because you have not committed to work towards achieving it? Realize that the time has never been better to achieve your dreams and you must be prepared to make an effort to achieve them. Let your desire be the motivation that allows you to realize your goals.
I remember the Netflix series "Lucifer". He knows how to persuade people by asking what are their desires in life. If someone asks for me that, my biggest desire is really to have my own business in my hometown and spend most of my time with my family rather than going to the city for work
