Sometime ago i published an article on this topic directly to address all the moderators on read.cash. the article addressed some of the short comings experienced in the various Communities then, as you can see here. As as then things were rosy here and there was up to 20% points reward for doing the moderator's job. Good compensation it was indeed.
For the compensation, moderators were busy looking for a way to add much people to their Communities, for more people in a community equal more articles to be submitted there and of course more 20% reward for moderators. This system quickly degenerate to communities of nobodies for nobodies, whichever leads to unwanted practice by unscrupulous elements within the Communities.
The onslaught and change
Read.cash swiftly reactions leads to the banning of most unwanted Communities, leaving unscrupulous elements with no choice but to to leave. Then came the featured Communities, most communities were not selected to be featured, and the moderators reward remains. This was thought to be the best idea of dealing with unwanted elements and those who want to get points by doing nothing.
The reactions, expectations and effects
The featured Communities moderators were the only ones who get rewarded for submission on their Communities, hence most of the non featured Communities moderators abandoned their Communities. It seems that read.cash was biased in the selection of Communities to be featured, and the featured Communities moderators now hold the power button of making read.cash a platform for great and quality articles. But this was not to be, for the moderators left their Communities doors open for anything to come in.
Another onslaught
Being compromised, the featured Communities system was removed and more formal Communities system was introduced, with the ability to submit article to only one community when published. And the big deal about this all, the moderators' reward was removed. This left all the moderators confused and seems like a dethrone Kings rob of their kingdoms.
The aftermath and reality
With no moderators' reward anymore, almost all the Communities seems abandoned right now. There is no one to approve submission in most communities now in read.cash. Authors now find it difficult to get post approved for a chance to earn some points. Article approval that use to take not up to five minutes to receive notification now takes hours and days waiting for approval at nobody community.
The reality now is that you have to move your article from one community to another looking for approval.
My personal experience
Since the new Communities rules started i have been finding it difficult to get my articles approved in Communities. I have to wait for hours and days for my article to get approval, but it seems nobody moderate the communities anymore. I have to move my article in search for a living community to get my article approved. The only Communities working for me now among all the Communities i usually write to is read.cash and Bitcoin cash Africa Communities.
that is false what you say, there are active communities .... and the moderators are doing their job, even manual, they take part of their time to investigate and see if the article is trustworthy, I am sorry for your discontent, there is no reward, but He who is a moderator does his job, without expecting remuneration, but because he likes that in his community, there are quality articles and that they seek excellence.
