10. Brown hare

Source

The brown hare with a botanical name lepus europaeus. They are known for their long, black-tipped ears and fast running and it prefers a mosaic farmland. The brown hare's long back enables them to reach a speed of 77kph/48mph and this helps them to evade predators. They're commonly mistaken for rabbits because they look just alike.

9. Blue wildbeest

Source

The blue wildebeest is a herbivore, feeding primarily on short grasses. It forms herds which move about in loose aggregations, the animals being fast runners and extremely wary, they are commonly found in Eastern Africa countries. They're same species as the antelope, just that they're very large and they can run up to a speed of 80kph/50mph which is exactly the speed of a lion and this helps them to sometimes outrun a single lion.

8. Marlin

Marlins are fish from the family Istiophoridae, which includes about 10 species. This fish has earned the title as one of the world fastest fish. A marlin has an elongated body, a spear-like snout or bill, and a long, rigid dorsal fin which extends forward to form a crest. Its common name is thought to derive from its resemblance to a sailor's marlinspike. Marlins are among the fastest marine swimmers, reaching approximately 110kmh/68mph in short bursts. They are eaten by sharks.

7. Pronghorn Antelope

The pronghorn is a unique North American mammal. Its Latin name, Antilocapra americana, means "American goat-antelope" but it is not a member of the goat or the antelope family and it is not related to the antelopes found in Africa. The pronghorn is the only surviving member of the Antilocapridae family and it has been in North America for over a million years. Pronghorns can live to be as old as 12-14 years in the wild, but the average lifespan is probably considerably less and this should be old enough. They also have Bionic binocular vision. It can run up to a speed of 98kmh/60mph.

6. Sail Fish

A sailfish is a fish of the genus Istiophorus of billfish living in colder areas of all Earth's seas, which holds the record for the fastest speed of any of Earth's marine animals. Sailfish can live for 13 to 15 years. However, sailfish caught and released by sport fishermen have an average lifespan of only 4 to 5 years. Sailfish spend their entire lives near the surface of the open ocean, but can dive up to 1,150 feet (350 m) to find food. They can swim up to a speed of 110kmh/68mph

  1. Cheetah

Cheetah are part of the big cat family and they're known to be one of the fastest land predators although they have a poor hunting skill, all they do is just chase the prey. These cats are nimble at high speeds, able to make quick and sudden turns in pursuit of prey. Cheetahs’ bodies are uniquely adapted to help them reach top speeds, from their long, slender limbs and hard foot pads to the flexible spine that gives them their long stride. Fastest mammal on land, the cheetah can reach speeds of 113kph/70mph over short distances. It usually chases its prey at only about half that speed, however. After a chase, a cheetah needs half an hour to catch its breath before it can eat.

4. Spur-Winged goose

The Spur-Winged Goose is the largest waterfowl found in Africa and the largest species of goose in the world. Spur-Winged Geese absorb poisons from toxic beetles they occasionally ingest, making their own flesh deadly to consume. It occurs in wetlands throughout sub-Saharan Africa. They have spurs on their wing which is a bony extension on the wing. The can fly at a speed of 142kph/88mph, they can fly faster than some moving cars.

3. Frigate bird

Frigatebirds are large seabirds with long, angular wings. They have a deeply forked tail that is often held closed in a point. The bill is long and sturdy with a prominently hooked tip. Frigatebirds are mostly black, but females and young birds have varying amounts of white on the head, chest, and belly. They have a long lifespan and cn live up to 34 years, they can also fly at a speed of 153kph/95mph.

2. White throated needletail

The white-throated needletail, also known as needle-tailed swift or spine-tailed swift, is a large swift in the genus Hirundapus. They are said to be migratory bird breeding in Central Asia and Southern Siberia. They feed on small, flying insects like beetles, flies, bees and moths, they're not harmless. They can live up to 10 years and can fly at a speed of 171kph/106mph

1. Peregrine Falcon

The peregrine falcon, also known as the peregrine, and historically as the duck hawk in North America, is a cosmopolitan bird of prey in the family Falconidae. A large, crow-sized falcon, it has a blue-grey back, barred white underparts, and a black head. Peregrine falcons can dive faster than a moving Formula One race car, they can live up to 15 years and sometimes longer and can fly up to a speed of 332kph/200mph, they have earned the title as the fastest animal on earth and the fastest.
