To climb Mount Merbabu there are 4 alternative routes that are often used by climbers including the Thekelan, Selo, Cunthel and Wekas routes with different distances and levels of difficulty but will still reach the same main peak, which is 3,142 masl.
Mount Merbabu has 7 peaks that have different panoramic beauty and are admired by climbers.
These two peaks have different natural panoramas. At the top of Kenteng Songo, there are 9 hollow stone fortifications that are sacred to the community.
