Peacocks' Mating Dance

Peacocks use their beautiful feathers to impress females. But they also need to shake these hairs effectively. These creatures display a courting dance by making some distinctive sounds. According to a team of biologists and physicists, peacocks tend to shake their feathers 25 times in 1 second. This is exactly equal to the movement of a guitar string. Further investigation revealed that the hairs are held together by microhooks. In this way, the eye points remain fixed while other parts of the hairs move. On the other hand, heavy and long hairs require a lot of energy and muscle to move. So the bird has to be really strong to do this dance.

Sly Snake

The Sypvinder, also known as the horned rattlesnake, is a venomous snake species native to Southwest America and northern Mexico. The name Sypvinder comes from the movements he developed this year to survive in the deserts. However, this horizontal movement of the snake is not exclusive to the desert. So much so that the snake leaves a trace in the form of the letter J as it moves through the sand. Rattlesnakes and some desert snake species use this sideways movement as their primary locomotion mechanism. In fact, horned rattlesnakes use their body shape so beautifully on the sand that they can even travel in the hills.

The Life of the Caterpillars

If you want to feed a caterpillar in your home, you need to create exactly the same environment of this creature in nature in your home. Some caterpillars are found entirely on leaves, while others can be found on trees. These animals, which remain in caterpillar form until hot weather, need to be fed properly in order to complete their attempts. But at some point in their lives, caterpillars become lazy and stop eating. This means that the animal is preparing for winter. On the other hand, each caterpillar species needs different things for its development and if you want to keep a caterpillar you should know these needs. During the winter months, you should remove the leaves that the caterpillar will feed on and surround the creature with dead leaves. If you complete these operations correctly and keep the caterpillar alive, you can witness it fly out of the cocoon.

Lyre bird

These birds are creatures that live in Australia and are famous for their ability to mimic many natural and artificial sounds in the environment. On the other hand, a male bird has a unique tail that looks like a propeller. Still, it is these birds' mimicry abilities that are most interesting to people. Lyrebirds can sing differently throughout the year. They sing much more especially during the mating period, which lasts from June to August. These birds can imitate the sounds of many animals around them, including the koala. However, if the area they are in is quiet, they can also remain silent. Still, it's really interesting that these birds can imitate dog barking or phone calls.

Bird Fishing Bread

This bird drops a piece of bread into the water and has a nice feast by hunting the fish that come to eat the bread. We all know that fishermen catch fish using baits like worms. These birds seem to have learned to hunt like humans. These birds were even declared fishing champions by the BBC. It was discovered that 7 out of 12 Heron bird species used bread for fishing.
