In this world full of hypocrites there are still people who honor humanity, there are still people who show kindness to somebody without asking anything in return. All of us have experienced downfall and hardship wherein we are hopeless in our ways but we are lucky enough if we seek help from the people around us or the strangers we suddenly bump into without asking any in return. We are lucky enough if we benefited from the kindness of the people who honor humanity.
I was inspired to write this after reading the article of Telesfor which is the Gratitude when a black woman is out of money to pay for her grocery bill, then suddenly a young man appears and volunteers to pay for the remaining balance without even knowing who the black woman is. That kindness showed by the young man is one of a kind to a stranger, which means it does not ask something in return. Many people help because they are expecting something in return, let say for example charity foundation donations, some donated just for publicity and campaigns to make their name honorable. Some offered help but it was like a business transaction that involves a contract.
Upon reading that article of sir Telesfor I also saw a post from a Facebook post that has tagged line “faith in humanity restored ” wherein the post content about an old man selling ice popsicles in the streets. The weather is not good, it's raining yet he was still walking in the street pushing his little box with popsicles inside.
He was just wearing a hat and a raincoat, while he was walking a delivery truck stop by and buy all his popsicle so he can go home straight since the weather is not good.
They don't even ask for the change and the eyes of the old man sparkling with gratitude. It is not that visible in the picture because the one who captured it is a bit distant. But I am pretty sure he was astonished by the kindness being shown by the people from that delivery truck.
After all the ice cream popsicles were bought by the delivery truck men, the old man then proceeded to walk on his way home. He is now pulling the popsicle box, unlike the first photo that he is pushing it.
It was just a little act of kindness but I know it means a lot to the old man. As for the man who posted it, they were not able to gather info about the old man's whereabouts but they said that the old man is not forced by his family to work or sell popsicle it was his own decisions. It might not change his whole situation but at least it changes his situation at the moment, it also proves that there are still people out there who are kind enough in this world full of hypocrisy.

That is why we should practice kindness every day, who knows our little kindness will give so much hope to those who benefited it. As for me, I am doing it as much as I can because I also received kindness from random people without asking me anything in return. I think I don't have to elaborate on how kind I am, it sounds odd hahahhaha!
In this cruel world we can still find good people. Its sad to say that the negative numbers outnumbered the positive ones.
