On the fourteenth of December 2020, a bottle of Whiskey was purchased from an online store. Sure, this may seem un-interesting. 2020 has been quite a ride, I would assume plenty of bottles of whiskey and other spirits have been purchased online.
However, just as the relevance of a couple of pizzas bought for 10,000 BTC in 2010 may have seemed trivial at the time, our bottle of whiskey marks a similar milestone in the life story of another soon to be big player in the crypto asset market.
Freedom Reserve (FR) was launched just over a month previous on the 5th of November. Designed to be a replacement for the Pound Sterling and give the people of Britain a means of commerce and wealth holding that the fiat is not able to provide in this day and age.
