No, I don't lose my interest in writing. But sometimes, I just don't feel like writing anything on this platform which is why if you have observed, I only write twice a week, or thrice if my brain cells are functioning.
After reaching my 5th Bitcoin Cash that I've earned from read.cash and noise.cash, which is my ultimate goal this year, I told myself that I am not gonna force myself to write anymore. I will just enjoy writing on this platform, and just write whatever I want, even if it doesn't make sense to others.
I have been publishing my works on this website for more than 9 months now, but even before I got on this site, I already call myself a 'frustrated writer'. I may not be the best writer in town, but good enough to form sentences with points.
As someone who has tried working as a Freelance writer for a company here in the Philippines, my sole motivation as a writer was to earn money to buy my needs and some of my wants. In addition, I also pushed through working as a freelance writer before to get some experience and get a hold of it, so that if one day, I decided to become a real nomad, I will have background knowledge of how freelancing works.
But what keeps me going on this platform? What makes me not lose interest in writing?
First off, read.cash became my training ground to become a better writer and was the key to how I was able to land a freelance writing job before. It was, of course, all thanks to ate bmjc98 who encouraged me to push it because she believed in my writing abilities. I am not yet a polished writer. I'm still in my 'frustrated writer' stage, and my biggest motivation now, aside from earning Bitcoin Cash, is to become a better writer.
This platform has given me the chance to enhance my writing skills, and it didn't fail because I believe I have already improved as a writer. There is still a lot of room for improvement and I am working hard to publish more quality articles. I am trying my best to be better so I can give and be more.
Another motive is to share my knowledge. I assume in my 21 years of living, I have already acquired enough and valuable knowledge and I have the freedom to share it with others through this platform.
Aside from sharing my knowledge, I also choose to keep going to gain knowledge from others. Staying on read.cash for more than 9 months now, I have attained a lot of knowledge from other users by reading their stories and articles. The lessons I learned from them are worth more than the Bitcoin Cash I can get from our very own random rewarder.
"To inspire and be inspired" has been my bio on this website for quite a while now and I am greatly motivated by it to keep going on this platform. Every time I share some of my achievements and celebrate even the smallest victories I have and other users would say that they are somehow inspired by it, it brings me so much happiness knowing I have given an inspiration through my words. Also, the inspiration I can get from others is worth note-taking.
To document my life experiences is also another objective why I don't want to leave. I don't have a journal so I treat read.cash as my online diary. I do have a notebook where I write about my goals and stuff but I can't write everything in it. This platform has served as a medium where I can freely write my stories and thoughts and I am glad someone gets to read it. You see, even those events that only happened in my imagination are published on my page.
Of course, I cannot overlook the fact that some of my virtual friends keep me going on this site. As long as they exist on this platform and they keep on interacting with me and vice versa, I will still be here and choose to stick around.
Lastly, our Bitcoin Cash is my biggest motivation. I will be a hypocrite if I say I am not writing to get tips from the Robot because hey, that's the only way we get rewarded and monetized for writing on this platform. Also, as a small-time investor of BCH, I consider it as an investment every time I am writing here because it's another way of getting to know more about the project and community to which I belong.
These are some of my motivations, the reasons that I keep sticking around on this platform and I guess it's also some of yours too. So while we are here, let's enjoy writing and just keep going.
