Well, guess who found her way into this new cryptocurrency network called the BBS Network. Yes, that's me!
I have heard about the BBS Network last year, around December through a post that I have read from mscryptoph on noise.cash, but only now did I get myself into learning more about it which led me to create a new account.
Actually, I was just scrolling through the tabs that are opened on my Google Chrome as I'm trying to close those tabs that I no longer need and use because I have about 20 tabs opened. Most of these tabs are related to crypto, such as read.cash, noise.cash, Torum, and other crypto-related sites that I don't even visit. Then I saw the bbs.market site. If you also want to visit the site, just type bbs.market on your browser.
I tried to explore the platform to have a glimpse of how that site works and I saw that it is like Reddit with different communities and channels. So I searched it up on Google to see how to earn there and I got to watch a YouTube video where she explained that it is just like a decentralized social media platform where you can earn by making posts the same way you do on Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram. So in the crypto world, it is similar to the social media platforms like noise.cash, Torum, and Appics.
After watching the video, I immediately tried to create an account there. I used my Gmail account to sign up and after I verified my Gmail, I updated my profile such as adding my username, my name, password, a little description of myself, and a profile picture.
After joining different communities that I'm interested in, I tried to write a short description of myself and posted it on all the channels in the BBS Network community. Being a newbie, I received some responses from the members.
I'm still quite a little lost in this network but since I'm planning to expand my horizons in the crypto-verse, I'll try my best to get the hang of it.
Anyway, here are some important details that you need to know if you are also interested to join the BBS Network.
What is the BBS Network?
It is a public network of interconnected message boards (called BBS, for the Bulletin Board Systems). These message boards offer users similar functionality as the currently popular platforms, such as Reddit and Facebook Groups. However BBS is different in that BBS is a public online service, meaning that it utilizes a distributed architecture, revenue model, and infrastructure, built on a public blockchain.
The BBS Network rewards all stakeholders with BBS tokens for their contribution to the success of a particular board. This includes the users, content creators, and BBS owners, by combining a unique content curation system with the distributed revenue model.
Every post published on a BBS is stored as an NFT that users can purchase and own. Users who own postβs NFT will earn a share of the ad revenue generated from the postβs banner space, split with the creator of the post.
To learn more about the Frequently Asked Questions about the BBS Network, especially on how to earn more on the platform, and how to cash out your earnings, just check the FAQ channel on the BBS Network community.
I wanted to include here the important links that will help you learn more about the platform, but it looks like read.cash is a little jealous that it won't allow me to include those links here.
Anyway, I don't really intend to work the platform out as an additional source of income because I'm too preoccupied with a lot of things already but I'll see what I can do about it in the future.
Is this a new source of income? Might dive into it one of these days. When I am no longer busy mwehhee.
