My daughter found the recipe at Tic Tacs. The best part is that the day before I bought almost the same cookies at the store (I wanted some yummy things for tea, and had no time to bake - that happens too). So, homemade cookies are better than store-bought, the in-laws said in one voice! And making shortbread cookies with chocolate at home is very easy, simple, and fast! Even a child can do it, just let the oven turn on the adults.
70g of butter
100 g sugar
150 g flour
1 teaspoon of baking powder
1 pinch of salt
How to bake:
We won't need a mixer or even a spoon - this is the first baking recipe I've come across in which the dough is kneaded with a fork. So, fork the butter softened at room temperature and stir in the sugar... ...for a minute, a minute and a half, until homogeneous.
Add the egg (small) and stir again with a fork.
Sift flour (150g is just 250 ml cup without a hill), add baking powder and salt.
The dough is ready! It will seem not very thick, but do not add more flour: put the dough in the freezer for 10 minutes, there it will thicken to the desired consistency. In the meantime, the oven will preheat to 180 C.
You do not need to grease the baking tray - the cookies will not stick, because there is enough fat in the dough. Using your hands, roll the dough into chestnut-sized balls and put them on the baking tray at a distance of 2-3 cm from each other, keeping in mind that cookies will spread when baked.
We poke the chocolate chips on top and send them to the oven for 10-15 minutes, it will be ready in an electric oven faster, in a gas oven - a little longer.
When the cookies turn light golden, done!
Let them cool a little, so they don't crumble, put them on a plate and make tea.
The cookies shouldn't brown too much, except for a little browning on the edges. If you keep the cookies in the oven for a long time, they may dry out, so do not wait until they are completely browned. Take the finished cookies out of the oven, cool, and serve.
