A little about me.
Well...I find it sometimes difficult to explain myself as I too.. Have difficulties understanding some aspects of me. But here we go....
My name is Layla Imran. I am the third child of a family of four. You know what they say about third-borns? They possess all the traits of the other siblings. The selflessness of first borns, the competitiveness and stubbornness of second borns and even a bit of naughtiness of las borns. My mom used to say jokingly, "Layla, you will have to live this house someday to go in search of your real mother". She means that even she finds it difficult to understand me some times. Let's just say I am unique.
I am a 20 year old studying medicine and Surgery in Bayero University Kano. Becoming a surgeon has always been my childhood dream. I have always been fascinated by surgeries(kinda weird right?). Like how can someone open up someone else's belly, poke one or two things, stich him up and he gets back on his feet!. I gained my inspiration when my mom was diagnosed with diabetes and she had to undergo a pancreatic surgery. A surgery she didn't survive. I had then sworn to myself to do everything it takes to get there. "You must become a surgeon", I said to myself on the night she died. I wish I contribute my own quota to the medical field. It doesn't really matter as long as you make a difference...and I am proud to say that the I am on my way. I wish to specialise in Gynaecology or Urology to help women and people with tracts infections.
My interests and hobbies.
As a young lady who doesn't have much going on I mostly bury myself in books. Big books!. I am not a nerd, I just love reading books. You must have guessed by now that I love writing too as reading and writing go together most times. I have written a couple of stories and papers which I have interest sharing in this site to my readers. Ever since I entered medschool I have shifted from writing mere fictions to medical fictions where I explain medical terms and conditions in form of stories. I think it suits me well. I also keep a diary.
I play basketball. I workout every morning to maintain my slender shape. I love chatting with my friends about random stuffs. I love cooking but I don't eat much. I am more interested in cooking than eating. I love engaging in extra-curricular activities in school as they expose me to lots of knowledge aside that of medicine. I just started learning about crypto (one of my motivations for joining this site) and I wish to learn more. I have already read some cool articles on it.
My read.cash preadventure.
This isn't my first account on read.cash. I have created about two accouts earlier on but I didn't publish anything on them nor even went through the feeds due to too much work. I recently bought a new phone so I thought it a good idea to give it one more shot! Among the reasons I giving another shot is that I have been off the writing for sometime so I intend to sharpen my blunting pen here. I want to improve my already fading writing skill. I haven't even written anything for two weeks except a suicide note I wrote last week(just kidding :). I will keep up consistency here and I hope you enjoy my future articles.
What I look forward to on read.cash.
Scrolling through the home page, I have read alot of interesting articles on myriad topics and I think this serves a good means for interaction. The comment section too is awesome! I love interacting with people and learning new things while sharing things I know myself. Just like how I love group discussions in school.
I look forward to having a really great time here with everyone. I am also looking forward to contributing to the community in any way I can.
I think I will stop here for now.
Thanks for your patience in reading if you managed to read to the end.
Love y'all. :)
