Benefits of writing.

Hello Readcashers, how are you doing? It has been a while since I visited. Well, a lot of things happened. But I'm back, and I hope I won't vanish into the thin air like I did last time. One of the main reasons that make me shy away from reading cash is that I have a phobia of writing and wish for it to go away. Vocabulary

But guess what! The cure for writing phobia is by writing more often. The more you write, the more confident you become and the easier it becomes for you. Writing is a mental capability that everyone can develop.

Today I am going to state and discuss the importance of writing.

Writing improves your mental health.

Writing is a good exercise for your brain. Just like other muscles in the human body; the human brain has to exercise to make it stronger and better. Writing improves your mental health because the construction of sentences requires thinking and the more think, the more you become a better thinker. Another benefit of writing to your mental health is that its increases your concentration.

Writing improves your decision-making skill

When you are thinking about something, by simply writing it down would help you discern and decide better. Writing down your thoughts or ideals makes you become a better decision maker because it would be easy for you to weigh the pros and cons of such an idea or thought. Writing makes you logical!

Writing improves your communication and descriptive skill.

When you become better at writing, then you would be able to write out your thought precisely and be more descriptive. Precise writing helps you explain your ideal or thought to another person: making you a better communicator. Communication is one of the most important things in life without effective communication many things would go wrong.

Writing makes us more retentive.

When you write your thoughts or ideals down the less likely it is for you to forget them. As you are writing you're subconsciously storing your thoughts or ideals subconsciously in your memory. Writing things on paper or in a notepad serves as a reminder in case you forget.

One way to make sure that you end up fulfilling your goals is by writing them down. It is easier to forget when you commit thoughts or ideals or goals to memory alone.

Writing increases your vocabulary

When you read you come across new words. Checking your dictionary makes you learn those new words and how to use them. But writing makes you flex those new words and makes you get used to them. Without writing there is a high chance you will forget new words.

Writing improves your grammar.

Consistent writing improves your speaking ability and grammar. When you write you use words to create sentences. It is easier to learn the correct use of words and grammar rules by writing.

Writing isn't easy but with practice comes consistency. Sometimes the reason why I don't write is that I feel what I have written feels like shit. But the reality is that even your favorite writer also started from this stage.

How to improve your writing skills

  • The first way to Improve your writing skills is by writing, without writing there is nothing that can be improved.

  • We can improve our writing by using apps or online tools that can correct our mistakes thereby improving our write-up.

  • We can also improve our writing by taking on writing challenges. Writing challenges is a good way to increase your creativity as challenges have constraints in terms of what you can do and what not; this helps bring out the creativity in us.

I think this article is a message to myself and everyone out there who needs to be encouraged to write.
