Throughout three generations started in 1999, SEAT Leon has always been synonymous with dynamism and sportsmanship. It was also a central element for the brand and, in the compact vehicle segment, it achieved success, with 2.3 million units sold. The fourth generation of Leon arrives in the national market these days and gives the technological and connectivity leap that should guarantee the continuity of this success. The model is available from € 24,907.
The new SEAT Leon was designed, developed and produced in Barcelona, at the brand's factory in Martorell, and was designed to raise the bar on security and connectivity. The design was renewed and conveys a stronger character, a more striking front and smoother lines. At the basis of aesthetics is the MQB Evo platform. The interior of the new SEAT Leon bets on functionality and minimalism and the cabin conveys comfort and a sense of security. The luggage compartment has a capacity of 380 l, while the Sportstourer guarantees 620 l, 30 liters more than the previous generation. In addition, it gets more interior space than some German competitors. One of SEAT's bets in this generation was on lighting. Thus, it uses full LED technology in the headlights, integrates the SEAT signature in the LED design, and the exterior mirrors have integrated LED direction indicators.
Inside, lighting sweeps the entire front section of the passenger compartment. It is available in the Reference, Style, Xcellence and FR equipment levels. SEAT presents Leon as the safest car ever developed by the brand. Driving assistance systems have been revised and include Dynamic Chassis Control (DCC), adaptive damping and dynamics; the predictive Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC) that corrects speed. It also includes Emergency Assist 3.0, Travel Assist and Side and Exit Assist. Voice control is activated by repeating the word “Hola” twice. The Full Link system allows pairing with the smartphone and is compatible with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. Through the SEAT Connect App, to be installed on the mobile phone, Leon's information can be obtained remotely, from the on-board computer to the parking place, anti-theft alerts, and many other information. In the case of the plug-in hybrid variant, it is still possible to manage the charging process via the e-Manager, control the air conditioning and program the departure times.
