Weird things I do when my parents scold me
Being scolded and disciplined by our parents doesn't mean they don't love you. In fact, it's the greatest affection they can do to teach you well.
When we are young, we are always been scolded by our parents. It might because of our wrongdoings and mistakes. As a young kid, we are playful. We are curious in discovering things around us especially when you have a great interest in it.
Base on my collective knowledge, well yeah, stock knowledge. As early as infant, the baby is curious on how his environment works. Why my parents are laughing? How the remote control works? What's the sound coming from his toys? These are just an example of some curious situations of a kid.
However, I will not write about the things we are curious when we are young. Rather, I'm writing about weird things I do when my parents are scolding me. I wonder what your reactions will be.
Biting my fingernail
Oh, please remove your curious face right now. But it is true. I often eating my fingernail especially in the left thumb. I just felt like biting the tip of my fingernail. It's one of the habits that I cannot resist to do.
One time, when I was eight years old. I went home from catching dragonflies and I accidentally fell from the waterway of our rice field. My right foot sank with muds until in the calf of my leg. Of course when I pulled out my leg, the mud splashes in my short and shirt. You know what's next when my mother saw me full of mud? After I washed myself, she scolded me like a rap monster. While she's scolding me, I noticed that my fingernail is in my teeth already.
Blabbering nonsense
I think this is the most common thing we do when we are scolding by our parents. Like we tend to say, "Ako na naman, laging ako pinapagalitan" or "Sila naman nagsabi, buti pa di ko sinunod". This is my line when I was young, and I don't know if this is what you say too.
Blabbering nonsensical words and phrases means we hold grudge. This is normal to occur especially when you have no voice at home. It's very disrespectful to talk and answer back to our parents. But on the other hand, I think when I'm talking back to my parents I did in a low and calm tone so that they wouldn't be disrespected.
My mother told me that if someone was wrong and passing their fault on me, then you have to defend yourself in a peaceful and correct way.
Vibrating my feet and leg
Yes, sometimes I'm shaking my leg up and down when my parents scolding me. Most especially if I knew that it is really my fault. It's my way of expressing and releasing my nervousness. I find it comfortable vibrating my feet and leg, but few are disgusted and irritated.
Moreover, I still remember in high school when my classmates are being reprimanded by my teacher. Some of the boys are shaking their hands and leg. You can literally see how nervous they are.
Biting my lower lip
Biting our lower lip and head bowed is one of the most common way of action when we are being scolded. We are biting our lower lip because of intense shyness, nervousness and disgrace. Then, we bowing our head and thinking something in our head. Gosh!
"Sana kainin na ko ng langit at lupa"
Arguments and failures are part of our existence. We cannot blame ourselves for committing a mistake because we are not born perfect. As a child, it's just a matter of curiosity and discovery of why mistakes are piling up.. However, we cannot experience the best of life when we are hiding in our own shadow.
Take control of yourself. In some circumstances, curiosity leads us to danger and bad environment. It's good to be bold and brave, but not to the point where putting and risking yourself in a certain situation.
Today, I'm not really feeling well. My head hurts and some of my muscle is aching. Thankfully, we didn't do much in school. We only have one synchronous subject and the rest is asynchronous. I will harvest some eggplants tomorrow.

Up until now... I can't stop biting my finger nails. I do it subconsciously especially whenever I'm in deep thought. Lol
