A surprise assemble and disassemble of the CPU

It's not common for me to use computers daily because it's my course, anyway. I truly enjoyed my time in the university whenever we had a computer laboratory because it was our opportunity to learn and sharpen our programming skills. However, it was tough to come up with a better system since most of them are already existing.

Then, last Monday, we were shocked by our professor's announcement that we would be having an assemble and disassemble of the CPU. To be honest, I really have no idea how to do it because I do not have a computer at home and we had no previous subject that allows us to do that. So, to our surprise, we demand a quick demonstration of how we would do it.

It was truly a shocking and nerve-wracking hour because I had no idea. Assembling the CPU is beyond my knowledge yet since we do not focus on that aspect. Our professor demonstrated how it was done, and explained each part of the CPU. We were all familiar with it, but the wiring itself inside was something we couldn't remember in one go so I had to list it down and took some photos during the demonstration.

Instead of individual demonstration, our professor decided to make and form a group consisting of 4 members since we were only 16 in the class. Somehow, our nervousness subsided a little bit and we asked ourselves what part of the CPU we know and what will be his part of the demonstration.

When our professor collected our index cards and started to shuffle them to come up whose the first to do assemble and disassemble. Luckily, we were third to be called and we had enough time to prepare and memorize some of the parts we had no clue about. I was really nervous but I didn't want to show it to anyone. Of course, I had to calm down and clear my mind to be able todo it well.

One thing that pressured us the most was when our professor had a timer by on his side. It was measuring how long it took us to make everything done. We were surprised because we finished it within 6 minutes. It took us four minutes to finished the assembly and two minutes for disassembly. The rest of the group didn't beat our time so I guess we nailed it.

I am not particularly disagreeing to surprise activity but sometimes it would drag us down to get a low scores. Anyway, all the groups nailed it. We achieved the objective our professor told us to do and it may seemed that we should expect a surprise activities and demonstrations in the future.
