Awareness: Two weeks Like Hell

When your armpit stinks, don't you also smell the armpit of the person next to you? 

That's the question I always ask every day 😅

I'm not a critical person, maybe in my mind I notice a lot but I don't take it out of my mouth, for the reason that I might hurt someone or someone might be ashamed.

There is this niece of mine, she's old enough to know what personal hygiene is, well I can say that she is in her teens to know how to be presentable in front of other people, she actually had a crush already or maybe had her first boyfriend already. 

Two weeks ago, her parents sent her to me so that someone can help me do the house chores and take care of Sophia since I always got sick and they know that my endurance is low specially when the weather is bad. 

Of course I am happy about it, since my husband gets off early to work and I am happy because I will not be alone that day and Sophia will love it because she will be having a playmate. 

On her first day, I didn't notice or smell something fishy haha, but the second day I smell this bad odor coming from her. I thought that she just forgot to apply some Deo or even tawas man lang so I didn't bother asking her. 

The next day, she took a bath early and I am relieved because at least she's clean towards herself, but when the sun is already up I started to smell again this bad smell of her armpit, and because I don't want her to feel ashamed and I don't want to hurt her, I really tried my best to ignore those smell. 

I thought I was just the only one who noticed it but my husband also noticed it and said " Can't you tell your niece to apply some Deo ? o kundi tawas man lang kasi hindi mahal" He was really whispering at me in a serious mood haha.

I just shut his mouth down haha I don't want my nephew to hear him.

So that's it. I just ignored the smell that was scattered inside the house, but everyday was like hell because I ended up having a clogged nose or headache because of the smell.

It's been two weeks since she came here and I never tried to approach her about her smelly armpit. Last day on my birthday february 14, do you remember the person who I referred to in my article "FIVE HOURS LIKE HELL" ? well if you have already forgotten hehe just click it, and take time to read how my five hours turned out like hell. 

So ayun nga, nung birthday ko of course we are neighbors and I approached her to have lunch with us and of course she came, from the very first step when she enters our door, the smell of her armpit also enters as it was on the race and occupied all the area in the entire house. 

I also ignored the smell as I felt like vomiting since I was eating, I tried myself to keep distance from her, but my niece sits beside me with her smelly armpit as well, I think I almost lost my patience haha, ang sakit sa ilong habang kumakain ka ..

And I noticed some of the facial of my visitor suddenly change, ako na yung nahihiya promise 😑😑.

At the end of the meal, they end up sitting side by side, and that is why I can keep always asking myself When your armpit stinks, don't you also smell the armpit of the person next to you? 

But I guess maybe not? because they seemed to be okay with each other as they sitting side by side while watching TV.
I know no words came out of the mouths of my guests  but I already know what they have in mind ..

FINAL THOUGHT:

I know I have no right to judge one person by their looks and so whatever, I have no right because I am not a perfect person as well, I have gone through a lot of mistakes. 

I wrote this because I know we can learn a lot from it, And at least through this one I can spread Self awareness and Proper Hygiene Awareness,  and maybe I will buy some deo for her later  and approach her in the right way so that she can't be ashamed of, That is the best solution I can think of just to get rid of the bad smell.
