My name is David Komolafe and I am the leader of the BCH Up team. Our goal is clear and simple, we want to use Bitcoin Cash to create a solution for the Merchant's in Nigeria and we are going to start close to our houses educating people about Bitcoin Cash and how they can implement it in their business to maximize their profits and also scale their business.
The target locations
We aim to target the Sars road and Okemini road. Why we want to target this location is because this is where top merchants are located, they get daily sales at high volume. We believe if we want target merchants they should be top merchants. We plan to target different types of merchants: restaurants, provision stores, and barbing salons. In Nigeria, these are the most demanding business people go into and it's also highly profitable. We plan to introduce Bitcoin Cash to them because we believe they need to know about Bitcoin Cash and also need to maximize their business profits using Bitcoin Cash. Bitcoin Cash in many ways can make a big difference for merchants here in Nigeria, that is why our team is focused on using the right strategy to approach merchants and also make them use Bitcoin Cash not just as money, but also to maximize their profit in their businesses.
How local.bitcoin.com can grow future merchants businesses
This is how local.bitcoin.com can play an important role in sustaining the merchant's growth in Nigeria. local.bitcoin.com is a peer -to -peer marketplace where anyone can buy or sell Bitcoin Cash without the need for a KYC or a very high fee. With the use of Bitcoin Cash, merchants can reduce their transaction fees by a huge percentage which would make a big difference in their ROI. The average wire transfer fee is $50 - $30 per transfer when compared to Bitcoin Cash which is about $0.007 - $0.05 per transaction making it one of the cheapest cryptocurrency fees out there on the market. Merchants can now save hundreds of dollars using Bitcoin Cash which means they would be able to scale their business.

Why Bitcoin Cash is better than bank transfers
The image above shows an example of what merchants can use to receive BCH from customers. The merchant's customers can scan it with the Bitcoin.com wallet and send payments.
The principle of liberty using BCH
Bitcoin Cash is decentralized and is not controlled by a centralized body. Merchants can send BCH without the need to worry about their transaction stuck in the process or their account being frozen. There is a huge amount of freedom a Bitcoin Cash user gets than a user who uses fiat currency. A decent amount of users using a centralized system either get banned, frozen accounts, and get rejected transactions. Let's use PayPal as an example. PayPal charges the receiver and the sender a huge percentage in fees. Every year thousands of users complain of getting their accounts banned for different reasons or no reasons. When working with a decentralized system your money is yours, it can't be controlled by the government or doesn't need approval by any entity to get transactions approved and that's what Bitcoin Cash is.
Why we want to execute our plan
The reason we want to execute the plan is because of many factors, not just one but many. We want to cut down the cost of transaction fees for merchants here in Nigeria, our bank transfer fees are 50 Naira per transaction, POS fee costs 100 Naira. International transfers cost $50 - $30 per transaction. We want to cut down the cost by a huge percentage. Because this would save the merchants a lot of money and everyone will now be in a win situation, Not just that but because it's decentralized.
Goals and budget
Inviting merchants and customers for the meetup
Funding the team to carry out the task
Inviting merchants and customers for the meetup
This is the most important part: getting merchants and customers to the meetup. We would use our flyers and many more items to get merchants and customers to come. But what if all the expected merchants don't show up? We have a solution to this, remember our whole adoption process would be filmed. We would send a short video estimated to be 5 minutes to merchants Whatsapp number that we would collect during the invitation process so the merchant can understand what Bitcoin Cash is at the comfort of their home, easy solution and if they have any questions we would answer them, this is where our team plays a huge role. Merchants and customers would be through different things about Bitcoin Cash, we would follow our education component you can find above.
Meetup location
Our meetup location is expected to be in a small quiet hall, where we would teach customers and merchants what exactly is Bitcoin Cash and also using our education component you can find above. Expected cost $50.
The t-shirt
Our t-shirt is expected to have the BCH logo printed on it, we want to be used to identify our Bitcoin Cash adoption team. expected cost $150.
Merchants Materials
We plan to give our merchants the "Bitcoin Cash accepted here" stickers and also print their QR code to be pasted on the wall for merchants to send payments. Expected cost $150.
Projector (Rent)
The projector is going to be used to explain what Bitcoin Cash is. This would create a better experience for merchants and customers. It would help them understand BCH better. Expected cost $40
Funding the team to carry out the task
Our team is grouped into 3 places
The teachers
The video team
Marketers
The teachers would be paid $150 for teaching merchants in the meetup. We expect 2 teachers to carry out the task. $150 x 2 = $300
The video team would be paid $50 he/she plays a very important role in creating a quality video that can be used to advertise Bitcoin Cash anytime. $50 x 1 = $50
The marketers are the least paid. They are paid $25 to invite people to the meetup. Expect marketers 2. $25 x 2 = $50

Our commitment and passion
Our goal is not just to get 30 merchants, but even more if possible. David Komolafe, Princess Komolafe and other team members understand what this would mean for the Bitcoin Cash community and cryptocurrency as a whole, so we plan on taking this seriously and devoting our time to it. Our team has many reasons why we want to promote Bitcoin Cash not just for the BCH community but for the merchants around the world, we believe we can make Bitcoin Cash a financial trend in Nigeria or global if we have the required funding. We want to see Bitcoin Cash succeed so we all and merchants can succeed in the financial space.
