We are back in the house. The ride today was even reasonably pleasant, no traffic jam today. The break at the rest stop was quite relaxing in the company of the sparrows. They live there and are pretty fat, the snacks of the many drivers are apparently a good source of food for them.

The forest spat us out again and apart from lots of mosquitoes, frogs and a tick, we also found quite a few #mushrooms. A few of them are even edible. So we won't have to go hungry tonight. I am planning a mushroom pan with fried potatoes. You can be curious whether that will work... Don't worry, we won't eat all the mushrooms in the photos, but they are all worth seeing. I can only recommend such a trip into the forest. Fresh air, relaxing colours and silence.

Well, that was delicious – mushroom pan with fried potatoes. A simple meal that nevertheless takes time to prepare. - Pre-cook the potatoes with salt, then cut them and fry them in the pan with onions, marjoram, oregano, cumin, salt and pepper. - Clean and chop the mushrooms, fry them in butter, then add the onions, salt and pepper. At the end, deglaze with water and add some vegan sauce powder. Bring to the boil and it's ready.

Good morning noisers! Don't worry, we are still alive after our mushroom meal yesterday. But it's Sunday, so long sleep, long breakfast and only late time for noise. Here's another curious tree mushroom we saw on the hike yesterday. We left it there, of course, because we don't have to eat everything we find. The fruiting bodies are about 5mm in size, one pink, one green.

My #Tezos baker XTZMaster has decided to introduce new policies for baking. Now there is a 15% delegation fee and a minimum of 100 XTZ for baking. As a result, I have not received any rewards for a week. The mail support was very quick in replying and explaining the changes to me. I should either increase my amount to 100 #XTZ or find a new baker. I guess that's what I'll do now. I should still get the missing rewards from 6 cycles, let's hope for the best.

The sun is missing to make everything shine. Therefore, things have decided to shine by themselves in autumn. Green, orange, red, brown, everything there, even gold. The little golden snail was my highlight today. It was sitting about a metre up on the ivy, quenching its thirst. This sight was new to me. All in all, it turned out to be quite a pleasant day. What I don't like at all is throwing away older electrical devices and replacing them even though they still work. At work, a new laptop was to be bought because the existing device had become very slow. Since the original plan of flying kites unfortunately failed due to lack of wind, we took a walk on the peninsula in the river and at the harbour. A special attraction for me is always the statue of the load carrier, which you have seen here several times. Today I decided to take a portrait photo. Unfortunately, many animals didn't show up today, they are probably all on autumn holiday. Nevertheless, an hour by the water is always nice and relaxing.

Onion rings - a quick afternoon snack Yes, it's not healthy, but it's delicious. Plus, it's quick and easy to prepare and costs next to nothing. - Cut onions into rings - spice an egg with pepper and salt - roll the onions in the egg and then in flour - Heat oil with marjoram and fry the rings in it, ready. A few days ago I started collecting the pumpkins in the Halloween Special at Cointiply. (Surprising) Habanero Report I was surprised when my 2 chilli plants flowered again a month ago and are now bearing small pods again. It is all the more surprising to see new flowers again. The plants hardly have any leaves left but are flowering as if there were no autumn. I am really curious to see how long they survive the dark season. Today I had some time for nostalgia and took a look at the photos from my South American trip. The weeks in Ecuador were some of the most impressive experiences in my life. One of the towns I visited is Baños de Agua Santa at 1800m altitude at the foot of the active volcano Tungurahua. I already posted this image some time ago (no.2) and now I have processed it completely differently. Yes, the colours are extremely exaggerated but I like it. Large Explosive - a mistake? I may have made a mistake yesterday. In order to push my TLM income a bit and because I heard a rumour that NFT could soon be dug up again, I bought the Large Explosive tool. Close to my workplace is the Saxon State Winery "Schloss Wackerbarth" with its steep vineyards. When you imagine how hard the work is on these slopes, it's no wonder how expensive the wines are. A good old tradition at Christmas time is the burning of incense candles with different wintry scents. Usually the cones are placed in small incense houses, but I have a small pipe for this. The scent in the flat reminds me of childhood and spreads a good feeling. That's why I burn incense all year round. Add a good cup of mulled wine and all is right with the world.

Hellfire in a glass Along with the fiery chilies, @MarSou also sent me a processing tip. So today I cooked the chillies in olive oil, mashed them up a bit and then poured the liquid heat into the jar. I think that should be enough heat to get me through the winter.

Today we finally managed to fly the kite. The weather was perfect. Sun, not a cloud in the sky and enough wind for the kite. My son had a lot of fun and a few minutes in the fresh air is also good for me, I guess.

I hope that this nonsense with the time change will soon be abolished. Ok, one hour more sleep is nice, if it wouldn't be one hour less in half a year... And the argument about saving energy is also out of the question in a time when the earth is awake for 24 hours. For me, we can keep winter time and start right away in spring.

Falcon and mouse Today we could watch a falcon hunting at the motorway service station. Shortly afterwards we saw what it was looking for. The little mouse was hiding in the bushes but we saw it anyway. The falcon certainly did too, but it was unsuccessful until we left. Good luck, little mouse!
