Quit you like Men

“Watch ye, stand fast in the faith, quit you like men, be strong.”

This verse can be a little hard to understand at first because of the older English. First, it tells us to be alert. Next, it tells us to stand firm. The strangest part is quit you like men- which means have courage. Finally, the easiest to understand, be strong.

I really love this verse because it’s so easy to apply it to our daily lives. In our lives, as we strive to be better follower, worships, and servants of Jesus Christ, we must improve. We need to be alert to distractions, the enemy, and temptations.

We need to stand from in our faith and not waiver to the whims of society and peer pressure. We need to have courage - as the world persecuted Jesus, so will it persecute us. And finally, we need to be strong for ourselves and for our loved ones.
