Today’s verse really says a lot, doesn’t it? Paul gives us this verse to show us how Jesus lives and how we should also love. When we return evil for evil, we are not being followers of Christ but helping the enemy. If you truly love the Lord and want the world to be a better place, trust in the Lord. Very busy day today. My kids leave on Monday to go to college. We were running around getting everything ready. I prepared some money to help them. Today’s verse really reminds me of the need of including God in everything that we do. Most people focus on the negative and trust in science. These are always brought to our attention. Today’s verse reminds us of the Lord wonderful characteristic to forgive. Two key words that cause misunderstanding in our modern world are sin and iniquity. Chattah, which often translated “sin”, means to miss the mark. Awon is iniquity and relates to the inner character and intentional deviation from a standard. Today we are giving the students a traditional moon festival meal. Taiwan sausage and pomelo. This year the government says no barbecuing due to covid- so we will Fry our bill the sausage. If you never tried Taiwan sausage, it’s a little sweet. Pomelo is like grapefruit, but not as sour and can be a little sweet at times.

Mind blown. Any every hear of the rule for leap years? It’s more complex than I thought. The yeast must be Evenly divisible by four, unless it’s divisible by 100- then it’s not. Unless it’s also divisible by 400, then it is a leap year. So 1900 wasn’t a leap year but 2000 was. I need to write a Python program for this and it’s not as easy as I thought it was.

Today’s verse tells us to see the kingdom and His righteous first and everything we need will be supplied. This is a reminder to focus on Him. A true Christian has a lot less anxiety than those that are not. We are not really coaxed into doing something out of fear. We fear the Lord, nothing else compared to that. We went hiking today at a mountain near our house. It’sa little too steep, so my son feels dizzy. I think it’s from wearing a mask and hiking. So I’m taking Back down while the others continue.

This verse has something that I love so much about the beauty of proverbs. They are really ready to try. This verse can work with anyone. Just keep your mouth shut and the body language off. But there is another level to it. When we want to complain about life, we should keep our mouths shut and count our blessings. Surely, our Lord has wonderful plans for us:)

I think a lot of us take this verse for granted. You really need to put it into perspective of Paul. This wasn’t a simple confession that many take out for today. It was a life and death commitment. Saying it was a life and death matter in the immediate future. It could get you killed or worse. Saying this was very dangerous and the Romans were looking for excuses to kill Christians. Caesar was king and an admission that someone else was king was a death sentence. Next time…

Truly beautiful verse today. Basically those that trust God will be kept in perfect peace. I think that the problem that most people have with this is sometimes trusting in God means not getting what you want. If you are focused on the world your desires will be of the world. If you’re focus is on the Lord and His will, then you will find perfect peace away from earthly distractions. n/jesuslives

This is a crazy palm tree that my wife said that I have to see. So we bicycle for about 30 minutes in the midday heat to see… take a picture and come back. I would have preferred to go and see it in the evening, but my wife is the boss:). #Photography

Doesn’t this make thing easier? To know that God is working in us to fulfill his purpose is kind of a calming thought. Life is so chaotic and frustrating for us because we can’t see the whole picture. We can only see the very restricted human view from where we are. Only Good sees everything and prepares everything perfectly. All we need to do is seek Him first. Everything else will snap into place.

Aloha! This is a picture of my daughter in Hawaii. I haven’t been there in 20 years! Their apartment is right across for the ocean. I really want to travel, but Taiwan has a mandatory quarantine for all entering the country- two weeks. It has protected the people well, but I can only take off two weeks, so travel is impossible.

This verse is beautiful. It tell us a few important things. First it tells us that our definition of wisdom is incorrect. Wisdom is not about having people come to you to ask questions and showing them how intelligent you are. It’s about humbling ourselves to help others. Knowing that gains in the world are worthless is wisdom. We show that by humbling our selves to others.

This verse is the proof that we are free. We all have things in the past that we have done and feel regret, shame, and pain for. We did those things and we have carried them around long enough. Acknowledge your mistakes and let them go. Jesus has passion for them in full with his sacrifice. Give thanks and praise where deserved. Go and sin no more.
