So this project looking from outside is about animals but its more than that its donating 50% of there profits to charity . The have there launch today 23/10/2021 and I said down to chat to Chester the creator of the project and Karen who is the artist for the first series .

So how did you guys discover NFTs?
Infidel | Naron 16:2 5%: I discovered them a few months back when changing my browsers to Brave - First with the Mirandus NFTs then Alien Worlds. I roped Karen in when I realized NFTs had potential for charitable work.
Karen : I was thrilled that the potential for charitable was a cause that I could relate to...and I quite enjoyed painting the animals!
Awh so do you know each other in really life ?
Karen: Yup .
And its great to see more NFT project with charity involved ?
Infidel | Naron 16:2 5%: My brothers and I saw that many local, smaller charities were really struggling, so that's where we decided to point the money .
Brilliant so where did the idea for the project come from ?
Infidel | Naron 16:2 5%: Kinda what I said before - the COVID-19 Pandemic really hit those charities really hard, and it worked really well with Karen because She painted such amazing animals and it fit so well with our Canadian Wildlife theme

So was Wax blockchain always the first option for minting your cards ?
Infidel | Naron 16:2 5%: Yeah - It was the one I was most familiar with. I actually roped my brothers into the project with me, and the amazing part about WAX is that it is carbon neutral. The chain doesn't require mining in the Bitcoin or Ethereum sense, We thought it would be counterproductive to support wildlife and conservation, yet use a very wasteful chain .
And when did you launch your project
Infidel | Naron 16:2 5%: It was mid-April last year when we commissioned Karen to make the cards. She can speak more to the process and the timeline there. Once everything was digitally ready, we decided for mid-October for the official launch.
Karen: I enjoyed painting the cards and being creative with them:)..but the process was a bit cumbersome ,as materials were lacking or took a long period of time due to delays of the Covid -19 pandemic..so the timeliness were massaged a little.
How did the launch go ?
Infidel | Naron 16:2 5%: Right now things are smooth sailing. We are giving away 6 stickers as well as over a thousand promo packs. We're launching on Oct 23, at 4PM UTC (in 2 days!!) so we shall see how it goes! The sale is active for 4 weeks, so there should be ample time for people to purchase some packs
Karen: Hoping for tons of sales for the chosen charity to benefit from..:)
What charities haven you chosen ?
Infidel | Naron 16:2 5%: We are donating 50% of the net proceeds of the pack sale to the Alberta Wilderness Association. They work to inspire communities and take action to protect our wilderness.
Oh brilliant have you told them you are doing this ?
Infidel | Naron 16:2 5%: Definitely! We contacted them about making a contribution, and they were very happy to partner with us and let us use their logos, as well as social media promotion.
That's brilliant so what will be the first NFT people can buy ?
Infidel | Naron 16:2 5%: They will be able to buy a Bronze, Silver, or Gold packs. Each of them will contain cards of the 'Least Concerned' rarity. They will need to take these cards and use our blender on NeftyBlocks to craft higher rarities.
Awh so all together how many NFTs will there be available on launch day?
Infidel | Naron 16:2 5%: 102060 least concerned cards...and they can all be crafted! Each unique painting can be made into the Extinct rarity exactly 20 times.
Oh brilliant what was the first one Karen painted ?
Karen: Actually I started several at once ..due to covid-19 I couldn't finish one at a time paint shortage and waiting for other materials I kinda did a few at once .
What was the first one you finished ?
Karen: I believe it may have been a caribou .

So what is your favourite NFT of the project ?
Infidel | Naron 16:2 5%: This one is Mine
Karen: My favourite Buffalo/Bison and Mountain goat .
How come ?
Infidel | Naron 16:2 5%: I love the White Tailed Deer. Something about how Karen painted it makes it look so cute.
Karen: I like painting Buffalo/Bison and the mountain goat was cool to paint with the horns and thanks Chester very kind of you yo say!
How long does each painting take to create and what is the major influences on your paintings ?
Karen: These were mini paintings and about 2 hours or so ..my major influences on my paintings are the wildlife and landscapes of Alberta often my paintings are more colourful contemporary, impressionistic that real. However I often use colours related to objects found in the wild like yellow ocre in the leaves or deep violet now found on many berries which incorporate the land and animals together. I also put a lot of movement into my paintings from the lay if the land in Alberta
However each painting varies in reality and I may add more realistic features. Now that last sentence was added because my animal stepped on my phone and sent the message lol
Are they touched up in any programs ?
Infidel | Naron 16:2 5%: After Karen gave me the paintings, I scanned them with 600 dpi resolution and passed them onto our digital artist that cropped and made the paint shine. He then made the border and backing for all 63 unique cards .
Is there room for collabs in your project?
Infidel | Naron 16:2 5%: Certainly. Karen is series 1, and we are on the lookout for the next artist and cause for series 2 and beyond .
Is there anyone in mind ?
Infidel | Naron 16:2 5%: We're talking to a few people right now, but we're focusing on the current launch, so it's been sitting on the backburner for now .
Do you have a favourite artist in the wax world ?
Infidel | Naron 16:2 5%: Definitely Karen
Karen: Thanks Chester. I currently don't have a favourite in the wax world. I am in awe of so many I have seen on Twitter.
Do you collect wax NFTs ?
Infidel | Naron 16:2 5%: I have been, we are deep in the rPlanet ecosystem as well as MLB cards and other goodies
Will you try get your NFTs stakeable at some point ?
Infidel | Naron 16:2 5%: We have applied to rplanet, so hopefully that goes through and adds additional utility to our collection .
Is this a full time job ?
Infidel | Naron 16:2 5%: It probably is, but we still all have our day jobs. Maybe one day if this blows up really big!
What the biggest lesson you have learnt doing the project ?
Infidel | Naron 16:2 5%: There are a significant amount of unexpected costs we didn't know about - and uploading 300 templates is quite a chore when you're going it manually. I think if we have some more expertise from someone who knows the wax network really well, everything can be made more efficiently
